This man had total FAITH the 'Certain man' who invited him to the Great Wedding existed.
And he had total FAITH the invitation was genuinely from Him.
But, instead of turning that FAITH into the WORK that was needed to journey along the narrow way and through the narrow gate to the wedding, he chose to work on his own kingdom instead.
How many of us conjure up non-essential projects for ourselves and do not put first, and keep first, the importance of that invitation, and thereby be able to do everything we need to, to attend?
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” - ( Luke 10:41&42 )
