As some of you know, I am a fitness coach as well as a life coach. Fitness and being healthy is something I am very passionate about. I am already working with some people to push them to get to their goals.

I wanted to start this to see who else is into fitness? What are some things you do in order to get healthy? I'd love to hear your stories on here on how you wanted to get healthy. I want to hear all about your success stories as well :) I have lost 80 pounds!

Tell me all the stories.

Good for you! Did not know that.

I do interval training and am working on going vegan-ish (it's really hard to say no to meat indefinitely).

I sure did :) Those groceries were pretty healthy. Have you had couscous? I made buffalo chicken couscous and it was delicious. I'll have to give you the recipe. I also cook pretty healthy stuff :)

Yep, I do interval training as well in the mornings right before work and then I do T25 after work with a friend. I'm really curious about you being vegan. What made you decide to get into it?

To maintain my health, I cook almost all of my meals, and I don't keep sweets at home (I have to go out to enjoy the single serving of pie or whatever it is.)
Chicken couscous recipe - uh, yes, please!
As far as working out, I find I get bored quickly, but I've been pretty consistent with running with my sister before church on Sundays. I also really enjoy yoga, and doing fitness blender workouts, just lack the motivation to stick to anything for long. I have a few friends who are into getting together for outdoor games of soccer, bball, etc, so I've been challenging myself to participate (had a hip muscle spasm from going hard @ soccer a month or so ago, eek) and live in an area where I can walk to just about anything, so i avoid driving unless its to work or the beach or something further.

One of my sisters went vegan, and she is trying to convince me - not having it.
But to her credit, she looks significantly leaner, and she was thin to begin with.

I'm not healthy, but (lol) I haven't had soda since February, and I've lost weight.

I use the treadmill, but I didn't this week. Please don't scold me. Lol

What are some workouts that you typically don't like? I think those things you do are great! Not having sweets in your house (I don't have anything unhealthy in my apartment. I keep eggs, lean meats, veggies, and fruits. I have no popcorn, I have no chips, I don't have ice cream, etc. Popcorn isn't bad necessarily, but....I'm a big popcorn fan. So, I don't keep it in my household because I will snack on 3 bags probably lol).

Vegan is good. I thought of becoming vegan recently. I wasn't ever a vegan, but I once was a vegetarian for about 2 years in high school.

Haha, why would I scold you? Never in a million years.

Not having soda since February?! Whhat, whaaat?! That's awesome! Did you drink a lot of soda before?

At the most, I would drink 2 sodas a day (12 oz can). Now I just drink water or coffee. Sometimes juice or lemonade .

hmm I workout 6 days per week. I do abs every day, it only takes about 20 minutes, so no excuse not to. I do upper body, weights, etc 3 times per week, stationary bike 3 times per week, at least an hour of basketball every day, and more. As far as diet, I haven't had a soda in almost 2 years. I typically stay away from breads and definitely away from desserts lol. I probably eat grilled chicken salads(with fruit in them) more than anything. Peanut butter is good too. So, yeah, basically high protein(I do take in a lot with my ''protein'' shakes for workouts). As far as drinks.. I only drink water, skim milk, and gatorade really. I've actually lost 51 pounds since January :p.

I'm a runner, have been for a few years, but I've recently started weight training. i love how that's going so far. I'm thinking about adding classes for fun/variety. My gym has kickboxing, boxing boot camp, cycling, and so on. What I'm really interested in is taking either boxing or martial arts classes as an adult.

As for food, I eat just about everything and anything I want with moderation. The less I work out, the less I indulge. I don't think I have a do not eat ever list.

Right on. T25 is some hardcore stuff!

Initially I had been backing away from meat purely from the scuttlebutt around the health benefits of doing so. The documentary Vegucated shed some light on animal treatment in modern American agriculture; pretty disgusting. Between having a heart for animals and being repelled by what they're put through (as well as them health benefits), I let up.

It's still new, but going okay. :)

Looking into a local Kung Fu class as well.

WHAT? 51 pounds in six months? That is quite an accomplishment. You should feel extremely proud of yourself.

Your eating plan sounds similar to mine. I eat chicken all the time and salmon. What's your favorite kind of fruit to put in your salads?

That's really cool. What got you interested in boxing and martial arts?

Thanks, it wasn't easy :p. Umm strawberries for sure; sometimes apples, blueberries, or even banana lol.

You're telling me. I have such a love-hate relationship with Shaun T. He is insane. Have you tried Insanity? OH MY GOSH. It's the worst.
