I need help in a situation that is strange to say the least. I have a lot of issues I am trying to deal with right now in the department of depression, etc. This is making everyone in my house miserable to say the least. I finally found someone that will work with me on this and she will work with me over the phone as I have a full time job, and through e-mail. Just one issue, today was our first official session and the first thing she said to me was "I'm going to pull a goddess card for you." I was driving at the time and was silent (in shock) and she told me that the card said that I needed to set up a place in my home to connect with the devine being in my life. At this point I was horrified.........but at the same time I know the Bible says to go behind closed doors and bring everything to Him. This is something I've wanted to do for a long time.
Anyhow, I know I am a Christian and that Jesus is the only way .........I just truly need help and I don't know maybe I'll be the one to turn it around for her.
I just don't think I want anyone praying for me or working in these intimate parts of my life that maybe practicing anything questionable. This is extremely hard for me right now. Please be gentle.

So I hope this comes across as gentle.. but I'm reminded of the passage in Job where God shows up. And He's like, "Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge?" So maybe this doesn't apply perfectly but.. I guess it just sounds like I need to be more worried about you than your goddes card wielding counselor at the moment. When you're down I think you need to be careful who your surround yourself with and who you take advice from. Many Pastors take beginning couseling courses and could probably refer you to a Christian Therapist.. and that sounds like the way to go to me. I'm sorry to hear you're having it rough right now. Just remember that in the valley we can't see the road ahead. The future can be so much greater than you can see when you're in the dumps. I'll pray for you.

The new testament says not to worry, for each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew:6 vs25-27. If the Lord is for us who can be against us, Greater is he who is in us then he who is in the world, Him who is able to keep you from falling. expecting good things in faith and now we are in a storm it reminds me of bible time heros who knew even in the worst circumstance that God is working, think of Joseph who was sold by his brothers as a Slave he did not know at the time in the long run God meant it to the good.
