We had an extended weekend moviethon at our house.

Judy - starring Renée Zellweger. I agree with others who say, just give her the Oscar now. An amazing transformation into the image and likeness of the actual Ms.Garland. And Ms.Zellweger was actually singing in this piece. Bring tissues. Five stars are not enough for this truly heartbreaking story of a real life that never stood a chance in this world.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood - Brad Pitt , Leonardo DiCaprio. A Quentin Tarantino film.Set in 1969 Hollywood, this is an intense movie and for mature audiences or adults only. Seriously, if you watch it you'll know what I mean. And once the end credits roll, don't stop the disc. It's a Tarantino film and he always adds things after you think the movie itself is over and done. This is no exception.

Ad Astra - Starring Brad Pitt. IMO, this is the actual 21st century version of the 20th century film, 2001 A Space Odyssey. I actually felt my next birthday had just arrived as I watched this, it was that slow going. And really, the plot was thin. That's why God made libraries that lend new release DVD's at no cost. :D

Deadwood , The Movie - The movie version of the former HBO series and the timeline is about the actual 15 years after the last install of that series. Great though in that there was closure to a lot of the series story lines since the series was cancelled back then and they didn't really have a closure episode to send off with their many fans.
