May we grasp the nectar of sweetness that comes with His Mercy.

I have known great internal torment, suffering and pain. As most who are blessed enough to breath also know. He who is given much also is expected much. I have been on the receiving end of beatings, of many kinds, dealt with lots of loss and much more. I reckon many, if not all, of you have too. I have also made many choices that were destructive to my well-being, and more unfortunately, to others. Oh me oh my, I am so guilty.

I fall to my knees when I think about His Grace. I mean really, can you think of anything as valuable and precious as His forgiveness? The One who created us is the only One with the true power to wash us clean. Do you ever start to go down guilt lane, all those winding roads of regret and shame, leading to a cliff of utter doom? There is another road that is filled with scenery beyond the sweetest landscape you can imagine, to destinations beyond your greatest thrill. It is fresh and it is clean and what's even sweeter is knowing the way is not through having all the direction. You can now sit in the passenger's seat and just get to know the driver.

Feel His mercy, know His pardon, walk in His victory and then feel the change. Take on His estate and keep moving forward, not backwards. Don't you see... His forgiveness is a gift that leads to a life well lived and well loved, because it is beyond ourselves. I am so grateful. He is so good and His forgiveness leads to a heart full of love and mercy, producing fruits that are evident and so beautiful because they are His paid forward. Love does, and we see that in Him and His work and action of Grace.

May our lives, each and every breath, reflect His Mercy and may we rejoice in His fullness in all that we say, think and do.

God asked Satan if he considered His servant Job, who was an upright man. "Yeah" said Satan, "but you got a hedge around that guy. Remove this hedge and he will certainly curse you to your face". You know the rest of the story because it is also the story of our lives as well. The particular series of unfortunate events that happened to Job occurred in the land of Uz as opposed to the land of Oz where our abode happens to be at this time.

I can relate to what you are saying in regards to suffering internal torment, suffering and pain. I also know that by the grace of God we will also prevail and be the better for the experience. It has been said that whatever does not kill us can only make us stronger. I believe that there is an element of spiritual truth to this saying This may be hard to see at the moment because we are only capable of catching small glimpses into the awesome love and power of God and cannot, at this time see the big picture.

I love how you phrased it, having our lives reflect His mercy as there is so much unfairness in this world. Personally though, I don't seek fairness from God but rather desire His great mercy and compassion. May both of these be reflected in our lives as we continue our walk in our humble service to the Lord. I pray also that we perform our assigned tasks with love in our hearts as well for the least of our brothers and sisters, whether in Christ or seeking Christ and to love our neighbor as ourselves.

First of all, I am under the influence of beer, again. A place where I often do my best work.

But, first of all, I love you all.
And if God said "that person must go to hell forever unless you take their place", it would be a no-brainer for me, better me in hell than you.

Now, as long as you think you are receiving 'mercy' from God you still don't know Him as you one day will.

One day I teased my son a bit too much, he was about 6 years old, and he flew into a rage and started punching me and beating me as much as he could.
And so, do you think I punished him?

God loves you. BELIEVE that.

There is no 'mercy' involved.

Let yourself believe, He, Loves, you. And there is absolutely NOTHING you can do that will change that or jepardise you chance of being with Him, and every last soul, in paradise, forever.

Which is pretty cool right! :)

(btw, I mis-spelled jepardise, but when I right-clicked it to fix it I had a feeling it was meant to be spelled that way. :) )

Oh you nailed it, brother, and when I think of what He endured for all of us. I don't look at fairness, just how awesome the pain helps shine His Glory, and how precious His sufficient grace is.

You know what though...to me Love includes mercy. He showed us that by giving up His life, with His amazing grace. To me, mercy is the key ingredient in Agape Love, which is what God is. Mercy is directly proportional to love if you ask me. I think that is why we are called to love and to love mercy. His tender-mercies are beyond our comprehension. But Justice is also a part of love, again like you said, who He is. But all of us deserve the pits of hell, thanks be to Yeshua, we get to be called sons of God.

OK. I'm a little bit drunk. But 'mercy' is nonsense. You have to KNOW that.

And, 'Justice', is nonsense too, and no part of Love.

And, nobody 'deserves the pits of hell'!

Why don't you jump on a plane and fly to England and I'll buy you a coffee.

:)

Um, i think I'll extend you some mercy in my heart and mind and pray for you. I think we can definitely agree to disagree. God Bless you. I pray you find peace in the merciful hands of Christ.

Psalm 136:1

Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.

I will give thanks to the Lord for the mercy and compassion He has had on me as well as yourself.

Hey, sweet-heart, I've learned kung fu, so I don't really need Christ.
But,
if, you'd like to get married, I haven't got much planned for the rest of my life. :)

Hey tourist, why don't you open your eyes, and stop trying to live your life by scripture.
BELIEVE He will send you the Spirit. :)

Actually, I am currently living my life by a wing and a prayer. As for the Spirit, we have been together for over 50 years. We're pretty tight and is quick to correct me if I stray off the beaten path. Without the Holy Spirit I would be lost.

You really, REALLY need to sober up. This is way, way, far and away from your best work. You just think you are doing your best work because you are drinking.

I am reminded of one of the tips from a music making "tracker" program I once used. Some of them were advice on how to use the program, but one was, "Making tracks while drunk very seldom leads to good music. It can for sure be funny though, when you listen to it the next day."

OK.

You are all blind.

I probably wouldn't drink if any of you would open your eyes and see!

But, as it is, I am alone.

You seem to all think it is OK to eat cake while other people are LITERALLY dying for lack of food.

Imagine you had a Father, and you had plenty of food, but your brother didn't have enough, but you kept saying "Father, you are wonderful!". What do you think your Father would think?

OPEN YOUR EYES!!!

I sometimes eat cake. Ain't nothing wrong with that. Plus, how am I supposed to give the cake to someone who is starving? Like where would I find these people? Also, just because some people are starving, doesn't mean we need to give up our cake. Sure, we could donate to charities or churches that help starving children. But eating cake isn't a sin.
And why do you drink beer if you could spend all that money (which is a lot for beer) on starving people?

why are living "by a wing and a prayer"?
At times I get discouraged and feel that God does not answer my prayers and wonder if why is it that my prayers cannot be answered in my lifetime instead of eventually in the world to come. Of course, He has answered some of my prayers on what I considered to be a timely basis. I love God and I love scripture but feel that I really don't understand either as well as I should. I meant it what I said previously about the Holy Spirit living inside of me though and always sorry when I disappoint and my meager efforts to serve the Lord fall short.
