In a world where little girls are prostituting themselves to stay alive (or made to have sex with grown men as sex slaves)...... and children are dying because they don't have the basics of life.... does anyone out there know of any good HONEST organizations to reach out to the innocent children of the world??

Lately I have been reading about some of the worst injustices of the world and it has literally turned my stomach to the point that I feel I must help in some way or another. I would love to be actively involved ...... not just send a check but perhaps travel oversees. My passion is to help children. I have looked online and found many organizations but I question whether the money is actually going to help these kids.

Anyone have any suggestions???

ALL official organizations keep much (most?) of the money for running the organization itself.. :(

I think going there yourself is the only way to get some control, but if you do that as part of an organization, you'll still have to pay for it (at least normally). But keep looking! the world neeeds more peopele that care and aren't afraid of getting their hands dirty.

Yes there are many. I have family members that not only support but are actively involved. I hope this is OK. Google (starfish)
