I named my old cat Mr. Bo Jangles because of this song. He was born in my chest of drawers. (An alley cat met my roommate's cat. lol) And the first time he was old enough to leave the nest for a little bit, I put him on the rug near the drawer. My shoe was bigger than he was, so he didn't even see the huge creature above the shoe. He just saw my shoe move. And when he did, all his hair raised, he turned into the shape of an upside down U, and "jumped so high" as he leaped four times sideways. He looked like he was dancing "an old soft shoe."
The moment I fell in love with him. And the moment he got a name.
