Habari yako! I've noticed a lot of Kenyans joining lately.

I believe God speaks to us in dreams as a way to communicate with us. Some people will say they don't dream, I usually always dreams and they certainly can be exploited by the enemy.

Dreams can mean different things, depending what it is about e.g warnings.

Joseph, son of Jacob was gifted with the ability to interpret dreams, which later on was very relevant in the situation he had faced with his brothers as well as being used by God to help interpret King Pharoahs dreams.

I think its also important to not believe that EVERY dream you have is from God. Sometimes you can get trapped in mixing your dreams with emotions and feelings, or even what you’ve experienced or watched before bedtime. It’s important to ask God for spiritual discernment in this, so that you know what is from God and what isn’t.

Most of my dreams anymore have to do with looking for a bathroom and getting lost while looking for one. Ultimately, I think there purpose is to try and get through to me, even in my sleep, that I really have to go to the bathroom. Time to wake up!

I had a dream the other night that my feet swelled badly. I was wearing sandals, yet one foot was so swollen the straps on the sandal were broken, but the foot was still wedged in when walking. I spent the rest of the dream looking for a doctor to check my feet... and I got lost.

No idea what that dream was about, but then again most of our dreams are just that -- dreams.

(I do miss flying in my dreams.)

From what I see some Christians are too eager to place a meaning on a dream. And too willing to let total strangers tell them what "God" is saying through those dreams. I always see it as a lack if wisdom when people engage in this so quickly and easily and with little or no thought to the potential consequences.
People are too eager to experience God rather than know God.

We do not dream just to dream. God communicates to some people through their dreams. The context of dreams are important to understand what God is saying. Everything you see in the dream is important. Also, there are a ton of websites that help you understand the meaning of what you see in your dreams. It should be worded like " if you see fire, flying, robbers, etc." all of these significant meaning. But be careful to not click on every website about dreams....Only click dream interpretations made by Christians. It's also important to understand that the devil can bring you dreams as well. If you are a dreamer, then he will send demonic dreams to make you afraid.

Dreams tend to be a reflection of one's subconscious though occasionally you may have a dream that is not spiritually bad or good just "random" other times you might have a dream that could be sent by satan to "bring you down"or one given by God with a good purpose such as encouragement" but it's always good to not "read too much into them" because I believe that if it's dreams important from God you will "remember them" and "come to mind" when "needed" if "needed" at all.

I for one"don't trust websites for dream interpretation" because well "where is God in that"?

Yes often times a dream can be "trivial" or "pointless" like if you drank alot of water at bed time your mind might be trying to "wake you up" by way of suggestion,or if you watch multiple shows on Tv they might repeat in random order adding up to "nothing".

Yep especially if you were just recently committing a sin or thinking certain thoughts before going to sleep.

Let me be clear. There are dream interpretations on the web that are made by Christians for Christians. I know of a few ministries that have created websites to help dreamers. God has given these people the ability to interpret dreams. As well as the ability to understand symbols, colors, etc. These people will then create dream dictionaries online which are helpful for Christians. I'm not saying for @deer92 to depend on these dictionaries, but they are helpful.

Yeah it's always best to go to God "first" if a dream is troubling you,not other people, not your own thoughts, not websites,God otherwise you could get a dream confused in meaning or "make it mean" something that "isn't there".

Is that like Christian Ouija boards and Christian tarot cards? The concept of mass, easy dream interpretation sounds more like the guys Jesus ran out of the temple than anything biblical.

We do not dream just to dream, God communicates through "some" people through dreams.
So how does that work? If a person dreams and God doesn't communicate to them through dreams then isn't that "dreaming just to dream"?

Well it depends on the "individual" and "wanting answers" for dreams as you mentioned a person could end up with an "incorrect interpretation" and your site suggestion is "no exception" even here on Christian Chat we can give "possible answers" for a dream but when people start being "certain" on discerning dreams then "problems" typically occur due to "pride" that's why one should seek God "first" for "answers" because a bit of "speculation" is alright but direct self certain answers can be "hurtful" to someone or even "confounding".
