Hello people of CC
So it's been a while. I haven't been on since December of last year and let me tell you, that was the worst month of my life. I was extremely stressed and depressed. In January of this year, God took me on an amazing journey of self love and acceptance; things were looking up
:). Then, on February 16th, 2017, a doctor said the two words I'd been waiting years to hear: you're pregnant. I still like to replay that moment in my mind
I can't believe how different things are now compared to this time just one year ago. God blessed us with an amazing new apartment, which we got just in time; we moved in just a couple weeks before our son was born. Now we're just praying on a vehicle :)
The delivery went very well. I had planned on getting the epidural; I was praying I would be able to. So of course, by the time I got to the hospital, I was too far along to get it lol I feel like God was telling me, "you think you can't do this without the epidural, but I'm gonna show you that you can." My midwife says I did really, really well

Wolfric, born 10/10/17 at 11:55 am.; 7 weeks old tomorrow. So far he's been fiesty, grumpy and serious; he's like an old man with an insatiable appetite

Skittles I missed you:D and I am so happy for you and your wonderful gift from above and also I love the name:D
Now that your a mom there are some thing that I am sure you know but you must constantly remind yourself because trust me there will be plenty of times when your going to need to lol.

Firstly always remember there is no such thing as a perfect parent you will always mess up in some way or form even if you know what to do and what a good parent does putting it into practice is completely different than just knowing it.
Second and I put great emphasis on this, when they get older don't try to be the cool parent it has never worked and never will and you will only embarrass your kids-ok maybe as a punishment lol

thirdly kids need both freedom and structure, you need to give them the freedom to make their own choices and learn from them but at the same time there is a line like obviously don't let them eat sweets before bed or go into a car with a person you don't know.

As for structure you cannot be to lenient or else they will think they can just do whatever you want and trust me kids can pick up on this, I have seen both sides of this situation. some parents are to strict and make kids feel like their in a cage others are to easy and get lazy and unappreciative kids there must be a balance between the two for them to grow up as respectful and responsible adults.

fourthly there will be times when your kids are upset and you won't know what you should say and you will feel like you should say something to make everything ok but in some situations all they really need is for you to be there for them and listen.

Also that is another thing, listening is very important. a lot of kids feel like they are never listened to, yes parents hear what they are saying but are not really listening and understanding even a kids opinions and thoughts need to be heard and considered even if they are just kids sometimes the greatest wisdom is from the mouth of a babe and most adults fail to understand this.

There is more I would like to say but I think this is enough ranting for now XD

God be praised, for such a beautiful blessing - always begin by tutoring through example,
and
mentoring him in the ways of Jesus Christ by your actions towards one-another -
this will not only make him a Godly man, but it will also save and nurture his precious life,,.,GBY
