Because of rebellion, many people have been turned over to witchcraft. Anyone who is rebellious is subject to witchcraft and are not only rebellious against the authorities but are rebellious against God. And many people have turned their children over to Satan, to worship him, and not God. It is because there is no fear of God in them, and they DO NOT LIKE to keep God in their thoughts. So God gives them up to Satan to be corrupted with things that are not actually profitable. Rebellion is witchcraft, anyone who practices rebellion will be judged accordingly.

rebellion and witchcraft are both sin but they are not synonomous. to say so would make it too easy for the enemy to enter into the defenses of God's elect by lumping it all together.

Witchcraft is using the magical arts for selfish reasons and trying to become God by creating abominations in the spiritual world. It is consorting with demons.

rebellion is doing anything that is not in line with what God has told YOU to do in your life. Rebellion is sin but its different from witchcraft in that many people rebel against God's will in our lives because we don't want to believe that its really God talking. We are comfortable with our lives and don't want to change and become more like God, that is rebellion and sin but I don;t think "God gives them up to Satan" for not understanding.

The Bible says that no one who have been given into the hands of Jesus Christ will be lost. If we have truly believed that Jesus died for our sins and asked God to come and live in our hearts, then we can struggle with God. Jacob did.

It is because there is no fear of God in them, and they DO not like to keep God in their thoughts" Ok those people have problems because they deny God and we should pray for them that God will send His grace and save them from Satan.

I thought this was going to be a logical and reasonable post about witchcraft and how it leads Christian astray versus Spiritual gifts and prophets and how miracles are not considered witchcraft because they were ordained by God and to His glorification and not that of the prophet who did them.

I would like to hear your definition of "rebellion". Are you talking about a child's rebellion against his/her parents? ... An employee's rebellion against his/her superiors? ... Satan's involvement in these types of activities is obvious. However, if you are talking about a people's rebellion against a tyrannical leader (like Egypt and Syria recently, or the United States of America 235 years ago), that is something else again.

It is hard to equate witchcraft with "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." Perhaps the devil thrives on unrest wherever it occurs, but I still think we need to examine the motives for rebellion before condemning it.

Any motive for rebelling is from Satan, and anyone that rebels is obeying their father Satan.

IF they were doing as you suggest, why would they be betrayed? Jesus wanted us to go against the status quo and make a stand for God. We are to love the world and be a light unto it revealing the things of darkness and gathering to us the things of the light. Holy Spirit is not soft and fluffy but like a fire consuming all, destroying sin and creating a more perfect you.

God's will is that we fight against the oppressors and throw off the bounds of sin and evil that people and the world will try and bind us with. Jesus message is that we are to rebel against the lust of the flesh and all things that keep us from God.

Jesus rebelled against the authority of the Pharisees. He overturned the table at the synagogue and told them that they were all theives. These were the people in AUTHORITY at the time. Jesus was a rebel. He's teachings were radical and NOT accepted by parents, employers, or common every day activities and whatever.

I stand corrected you are right God is the highest authority. He does not rebel against Himself, merely fights upsurps that try to steal His power.

Uhh, I would have to disagree with this. If somebody is disobedient, how are they subjected to witchcraft? One could be disobedient and have no dedication to the craft.
