It's smack in the middle of the night, and I can't sleep. I'm having my last day at work for several months tomorrow, before we're sailing out, and will not be back for months. Everything is so strange, it's like I'm giving up on everything.

But I'm really looking forward to it. I love the sea. My dad was a sailor too, and it's like he is with me somehow when I'm at sea.

My daugther just married and can take care of herself now, so no one really needs me anymore here...I can't wait to get aboard. Imagine the migthy ocean before you when you take helm of the vessel:).

And I'm gonna bring all of my sea shanties with me...luckily I have them on my phone now...it's so nice to be listening to them when the ship is rolling...reminds me of my dad.

Best thing of all...no Chub Club was required lol.

I'm going to miss some of the nice people here, hopefully you will be around when I get back. It's so silly, but right now I can't remember anyones name on here, so I'll just leave it at that and simply say:

Hi susanna,

We'll be missing you. But drop by when you can. I have a relative who went to sea too, and i think it is beautiful in spite of being a bit sad to be so far out there. Bon voyage and God bless you.

Psa 107:23 Those who go down to the sea in ships, Who do business on great waters;
Psa 107:24 They have seen the works of the LORD, And His wonders in the deep.
Psa 107:25 For He spoke and raised up a stormy wind, Which lifted up the waves of the sea.
Psa 107:26 They rose up to the heavens, they went down to the depths; Their soul melted away in their misery.
Psa 107:27 They reeled and staggered like a drunken man, And were at their wits' end.
Psa 107:28 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, And He brought them out of their distresses.
Psa 107:29 He caused the storm to be still, So that the waves of the sea were hushed.
Psa 107:30 Then they were glad because they were quiet, So He guided them to their desired haven.
Psa 107:31 Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness, And for His wonders to the sons of men!

Psa 139:9 If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea,
Psa 139:10 Even there Your hand will lead me, And Your right hand will lay hold of me.

The migthy ocean looks like a boss tonight. How beautiful the Southern Hemisphere's sky is, so full of stars I had never before ever seen. The moon is soon to set but is still providing some light.I think I have fallen in love with this place. Now we'll be steaming north. See you people in a few weeks or months:).Bye for now:).
