One of our biggest mistakes we make is that we sometimes answer people too quickly, just giving them something off the top of our head. Only a fool utters his whole mind (see Proverbs 29:11) Those who speak frequently and hastily are always in trouble, as the Bible says, "There are those who speak rashly, like the piercing of a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing" (Proverbs 12:18).

Jesus operated in wisdom. He always knew just the right thing to say, at just the right moment, to astound everybody, If we don’t spend enough time with God, we will say the wrong thing at the wrong time, Decide to wait on God before speaking your mind today.

Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things.

And then there is the Harvest issue. The Holy Spirit does the Harvesting. I know Jesus called us to go into the field and make disciples. But God calls people unto Himself. He has chosen us to help, thru the word which never comes back void in it impact. And prayer..things we are a part of , but we are only the vessel by which God uses, it is the Holy Spirit that convicts and calls people to God. We as servants need to understand... some will only plant seed in lives and never see the harvest come to happen ...others will harvest or lead people to christ thru the Holy Spirit yet not have done the ground work of the earlier saints.

We , especially young Christians, get the burn on for Christ and in the excitement want to go win the block for God tonight by 9pm sharp. It's ok calm down I want to say to them. All in God's timing . Stay thirsty but until God can check your tongue He can not use you as a worker for His kingdom. We are not the Holy Spirit. In Fact God has chosen us to help in our Ambassadorship He doesn't NEED us at all if he so chose.

Let our demeanor and nature be that of Christ's ...be restrained in your speech.

And I haven't even spoken on the being a clean slate will listening issue...smile. But all in God's timing right?!!! smile.
