Considering it's 12:30 here, I'll just say I'm going to eat BBQ Ribs and white rice later on

1 PM, so no dinner yet. Hubby has a afternoon-long doctors appointment, so I'm making it. All I know, so far, is it will be chicken thighs in some kind of sauce, probably with mushrooms. I usually just look in the fridge to see what else would go with that. I'm making enough for two meals, so will probably serve it on pasta. Veggies are a last minute decision, so we can use the same thing with a different veggie next time.

Most of my herbs are drying or have dried already, so I can use them as soon as I figure out which taste I'm going for.

Wait...dinner, or dinner?? lol What I would call dinner is the noon meal. In that case, I made fried potatoes and salad, heated some beets, and made creamed green beans. If you mean dinner, the evening meal, I don't know what I'm going to have yet!

In my family of origin, what we called "dinner" depended upon when my father was home, for he worked a swing shift, two weeks of days and two weeks of evenings, alternately. If he was home for the noon meal, that was our dinner, and we had a larger meal at that time than what we would normally have for lunch, and/or for supper when he would not be home. Otherwise, our noon meal was called lunch, and when he was home for the evening meal, that was then our larger meal, and dinner :) We lived close enough to our schools that we came home for lunch/dinner :D

I've got stuffed pork chops ready to go in the oven for tonight's supper. I'm serving an iceberg lettuce salad on the side.
