Blue, I saw him being abrupt at times, but I never saw him be profane.

Unfortunately from time to time a user (usually someone who has never contributed a dime) decides to either begin (or spread) rumors that in some way RoboOp has either gotten rich from this site or in some way misappropriates the funds that come in via donations and subscriptions. It came to RoboOp's attention that WillieT had been slandering him in this fashion and it was decided to remove him as a result.
RoboOp has for almost two decades operated this site solely on donations (and more recently supplemented donations with paid subscriptions that give additional chat features).
While most social media sites are funded via Google ads, RoboOp has chosen to pass up that potential income because it is impossible to filter Google ads well enough to insure that ads that would be inappropriate for this site don't show up. Believe me, if RoboOp's priority in running this site was his personal enrichment, Google ads would be running regardless of the content of the ads.
