The pastor of the church I go to reminded the congregation of something that I HOPE all of us believers know:

Many people who face difficult times sometimes cut down on their worship of God, reading their Bible, praying etc. In effect, what they are then saying is that they will ONLY worship God when things are OK.

The questions that came to my mind were:

What did Paul and Silas do in prison? They WORSHIPED God!!
What did Job say? The Lord gives, the Lord takes away; BLESSED be the name of the Lord!

Talk about being hit square between the eyes :)

This reminded me that maybe I should stop feeling so sorry for myself (I am rather despondent, depressed and lonely..very lonely) and try to worship God more fervently and frequently even now. Things may get better...but maybe they will not. Nevertheless God stays the same and still cares for His children.

SO: wake up self and worship anyway!!!!

Psalms 34 : 1

I will bless the Lord at ALL times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

That is absolutely true and I am guilty for it. I think sometimes we are so wrapped around our situation and try to solve it ourselves that we forget to set our eyes upon God.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts

God bless you--> I mean it from my heart.
