Look. Its not beyond the realms of possibility. We might differ on a few issues. As long as they had a nice face and didnt mind me going to Church.

The physical side might have to be more theory than practice. I would be very assertive about not attending any of their protests. I would negotiate that I stay home and look after the pet(s) instead.

I might have to marry a female gay activist. This will require extreme self sacrifice on my part. But that is the kind of guy I am. So if we marry it wont be same sex marriage. No doubt same sex marriage will be a hot topic at the dinner table. Lively debate can be good though.

Maybe I’m dumb (I am dumb), but I can’t seem to get full torque on my comprehension scale when trying to figure out this thread😁.

This might be cold of me to ask, and I'm honestly not even sure of how to word it, but here goes.

MoreFaith, are you all right? Is there something we can pray for or with you about, or are you just needing to vent?

The reason I ask is because, while I think your string of "Would You Marry" threads are interesting, and definitely gets us single people thinking about choices we should be making...

I'm just wondering what's going on in the life of a married man who keeps making an entire batch of threads asking, "Would You Marry..."

And after the Gay Activist thread, I definitely had to ask. Now maybe you're just trying to get single people asking about who they'd marry, but I have to wonder if the threads aren't also making married people question the choices they made, and making them wish they had either made different choices, or could still go out and choose someone different.

I'm also really sorry that your wife is having a lot of health issues, and maybe I'm just too sensitive, but if I were chronically ill and I found out my husband was posting a string of online discussions called "Would You Marry", I would feel as if he were already looking for/considering replacements for me, and that he just might be considering marrying a Buddhist Catholic lesbian activist.

Maybe you'll just say, "Oh, that's just my sense of humor and she's fine with it."

Ok.

But I just know that if it were my husband doing so, I'd be thinking that he's really thinking about what it would be like to be married to someone else.

And yes, admittedly, that might be a good reason as to why I'm not married.

I hope all is well with you... and, my best wishes also to your wife.

MFR, if your wife is chronically ill, maybe you need to be tending to her more, and not making all these strange "Would you" threads.. Just a suggestion.

This seems to be your default mode.

Whenever someone disagrees with you, you always accuse them of trying to score brownie points with others...

But you never seem to give a real answer.

I'm not here for any fanfare.

Anyone who's been here a while knows I have my share of haters, and I'm ok with that. It keeps things real.

And I'm not trying to get you to leave at all, I'm just asking an honest question, and hoping for once you'll give a real answer instead of constantly deflecting.

No, I wouldn’t marry a gay activist. I wouldn’t marry any activist, to be perfectly honest. Activists are a wee bit too one eyed and can’t see things from other angles than their own.

Also I would be a little suspicious if someone I was married to was a GAY activist😂.

Your sacrifice would be greater if you were to marry a male gay activist ;)

After all, it would hardly be fair to expect your wife partner to give up their preference :geek::devilish::ROFL:

I know a thing or two about having a terminally ill spouse. It can make you do crazy stuff.
