Until recently I used to backslide on a fairly regular basis. I would go to church and seek God for a while then I would stop going and do my own thing. About 3 years ago, after a large back surgery, I became addicted to pain medicine. I got to the point of using 150-180 mg of opiates every day! I also binge drank on occasion. Between the opiates and the alcohol there were profound changes in my personality and I committed a crime that will send me to prison. I am facing 10-15 years in prison in a few months. I admit I am scared! I have joined the Lighthouse Discipleship Center and am starting Bible classes to learn God's Word intimately! I am also joining wonderful sites

I do not know you,but God does!.
I hope you find peace in the narrow path and allow the Holy Spirit to lead your steps from here out!
May your time paying for your crime give you a firm foundation in Him!

Pray, study and trust in Him,He has plans for your life if you are committed to Him!

I will be lifting you up in prayer! He is our rock and firm foundation!

God will neither leave you or forsake you, even in prison and even Jesus mentioned about prisons. Hopefully God will delivery you from opioid addiction and I pray that He will do this. Plenty of us have done our fair share of backsliding so please know that you're not alone in this. Glad to have you join our community. Welcome to CC.

I want to thank all of you for the words of encouragement and quotes of scripture! I have been struggling as I wait for the day when I go away to prison! I have shed many tears because God blessed me with 7 beautiful Granddaughters whom I love with all my heart and now I cannot see them anymore. I saw one of them at Walmart several days ago and she was yelling Papa and waving for me to come see her but I had to walk away... just one more time I was heartbroken from missing them! I haven't been able to have contact with them for over a year and the heartbreak is an everyday thing! 34421591_1981040355253579_8315663834517864448_o.jpg 34470244_1981765328514415_7309846853879595008_o (1).jpg 34448054_1981040501920231_6006579340471435264_o.jpg 46018120_2225011100856502_4204181716111196160_o (1).jpg 34557314_1981040618586886_2654088084378877952_o.jpg 34647320_1981040385253576_9182684067903045632_o.jpg

Both Joseph and Paul were wrongfully imprisoned and they made the most of it, ministering to those there (Joseph) and spreading the gospel (Paul). I have also known people who cleaned up their lives and then owned up to things in their past that could have sent them to prison, but the judge had mercy on them because they had turned their lives around and stopped drinking, drugging, and using mind and mood altering substances. I pray the same may happen to you.

I dont know what your crime was but if it's seperated you from the grand girls, I can only assume..........

This I will say,God forgives all sins except blasphemy of the Holy Spirit!

If you are quilty of the crime ,do the time, trust Gods mercy and He can make you a new creature in Him!

Praying for your family as well!

Well, welcome to C.Chat.
I would say cling to our Lord, with all your might and being. May this bring you to his side and keep you there. God's love is everlasting and eternal but he is definately not a Budda doll to rub his stomach, make a wish and then walk away from. He wants our love and even though we run, he will still pursue us and love us. But we have to come before him and desire to seek him above all things this world, or we are just going through the motions and rubbing the little budda dolls belly making that wish...
Don't usually make greeting into a sermon, and not talking down to you by any means, as my walk could be better at times and we all could be better as we strive to serve Our Lord...
May you not have to go to jail, but whether ir not, may God bless and help you to grow ever closer to his side...
May wisdom, love, mercy, grace , friendship and comfort find u here and, indeed, everywhere...😃🤗

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! If there is one thing I have learned from this experience is that if I don't walk completely and consistently in the light and with the Lord I am in danger from the enemy! I will serve him with all my heart wherever he takes me. I have to admit that I am scared to death of prison but I know that if I am in him he will give me the courage I need!

It does my heart good to hear that! We all fall short of his glory. To be blessed to not only know he loves us, forgives us and choose us is so encouraging and awe inspiring, leaves me breathless and at a loss for words (and anybody that knows me knows a I have words for a great many occations😄...). May he keep you close and may you always strive to walk with him in all weathers both good and in the growing trials of this life...

Hello Mike and welcome to Christian Chat!
Do you mean that I am not taking responsibility for what I have done, that I am only misunderstood? In all actuality I DO understand! I hate myself for what I have done! I can never see any of my 7 Granddaughters ever again and the pain is literally killing me inside.
