I am in the last quarter of my life but I have scored a few runs over the years so I am not complaining.
I have a wonderful wife, two beaut children and eight fabulous grandchildren. I was saved and grew up in a church that encouraged you to get involved. I was teaching Sunday school when I was 15 and started preaching when I was 17.
I have a theological degree from a Brethren Bible College and three university degrees in Social Science, Politics and Teaching.
I spent about 10 years in full time para-church ministry mainly researching cultural issues and their implications for the church. This has included extensive study of same sex marriage and the homosexual push for recognition for their lifestyle (some call it a death-style).
My greatest asset is that I am autistic on the high end scale, which means I can apply myself diligently to dig out information and find out the truth when I decide to study a topic, I leave no stone unturned like a dog trying to uncover a bone. They won't stop until they find it. It also means that I say what I mean and mean what I say but some people have a problem with that as they interpret it as being arrogant when in fact autistic people do not know how to be arrogant and we are no good at all in reading between the lines although we try.
By way of example I spent two years studying the New Testament Church. I started with the scriptures mainly the Greek, then I read various books on the subject (over 40) and then I put together everything I had discovered.
One of my most enjoyable spiritual experiences was being part of a church for 10 years that enjoyed 30 years of revival and the other was starting a ministry for people with an unwanted same sex attraction. ATM, I am involved in a pregnancy support centre ministry and praying about starting a ministry to the fatherless. But to top all that was when I was taken into the holy of holies by God and met him face to face. That experience showed me that God was crazy about me.
In my spare time (what's that?) when I am not on the internet writing or reading a book, I do a bit of gardening, a bit of swimming, watching cricket of all kinds on TV, a bit of travelling and drinking cappuccinos.
