LETS END THIS UNEDUCATED AND VERY MISUNDERSTOOD TOPIC THAT women are nothing but servants to their husband.... ONLY IF YOU SEEK THE TRUTH YOU WILL FIND IT.

WE ALL UNDERSTAND( I ONLY PRAY YOU DO) THAT WHEN WE HERE SOMETHING PREACHED THAT OUR FINITE MINDS SOMETIMES SEE IT THAT WAY WHEN WE READ THE BIBLE.
the woman of the Bilble was either great or evil, We know that Debra from the book of Judges, she was a mighty woman of God, He used her in a mighty way. she was a Judge, a prophetess, and a warrior.

but Jezebel she was evil, and for her wickedness her Husband paid and altimately she paid. she usurp athourity over her husband and she gave him instructions and took his place in the household.

we know in the Proverb 31 woman that it is the woman who runs that house and it is the womae who makes her man great.

Queen of Sheeba, the woman who washed Christ feet Luke 7:37, the woman who anointed him with axpesive perfume Mark 14:3, and others instances Roman 16:1-2... Co-laborers with Paul Roman 16:3...12 and I Timothy 5:10...
Prophetesses; Miriam Ex 15:20 ----Deborah Ju 4:4---Hulddah 2 ki 222:14---Noadiah Ne 6:14---Anna--Lu 2:36---and the daughters of Phillip Ac12:2

Some specialties of the Women in the Bible,
Last at the cross; Mk 15:47------First at the tomb; Jn 20:1---First to proclaim the resurrection; Mt 28:8----
FIRST PREACHER TO THE JEWS; Lu 2:37-38 -- Attended the first prayer meeting; Ac 1:14-- first to greet christian missionaries ( Paul and Silas) in Europe Ac; 16:14----

Crowning qualities of woman hood.
A devotional spirit ( devout women) 1 Samuel 1;15.... 2 Kgs 22:14....Est 4:16... Lu 1:25.38.46 -- 2:36---10:42 Ac 16:14 and Ro16:1, 12

We are and will always be great in the eyes of our God and saviour Jesus Christ. God created us to HELPERs to the man who if needed help must not had it altogether....
and for the teaching issue and being silent in the Church... ( They Wish God down graded us) that would just play more to their egos.

I Corinthians 14:34-35
34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
I Timoty 2:11-13
11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.
I Corithians 12: 4-14 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For the body is not one member, but many. 1
Ephesian 4:7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. 8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.
Ephesians 4:11-16
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ 14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
when we read the whole scriptue in it's contents, we will see that Paul was not talking about women only when they are in the Church but also at home. it clearly say " let the woman LEARN IN SILENCE, let her ASK her husband at home," not while they are in Church as to say that us women dont know when or where to speak that we would disrupt the church by asking questions in service,,
as to Women usurping Authority over men..... no it said THE MAN , HER HUSBAND. as in Ephesians 5:21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of
GOD 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their OWN husbands in.......
for women Teaching as we see in scripture the Holy Spirits gives severally as He will. and Paul never said wher he suffer not a woman to teach.... because we see that God has appointed many offices in the Body.. teaching is only one out of several more then 10 gifts that Christ sent to build the church.......

And to top it and end it ; the word subjected,, means to be dependent upon.. As I have no shame to say I depend on my Husband,, I am a working woman but my husband is the head of my household, and as long as he is subjected to Christ Jesus; which leads him; I will let my Husband lead me according to how the Lord leads us. ( although he looks to me always for my word on everthing as we are subjected one to another Ep 5:21) I will not be led by another man, just my own husband.
We are his daughters and we share the same Holy Spirit as men. He will not leed us to disobey God, for is to lead us unto ALL truths.

You won't be led by your Pastor? Home group leader? Boss at work?

Anyway.. ya whenever you see wives submitting to their husband in the bible.. the onus is always on the husband to honour and cherish her anyway.. in effect she is submitting to love .. not just headship. It ain't a heirachy or unequal relationship.. it is what God intended for a healthy, functioning husband and wife relationship.

yes I will submit to authority,, but to be subject to them no I will not,,, for to be subjected to someone means that I depend on them and I will not depend on noone but God and my Husband through God,,,,, and if a pastor is not teaching by the Holy Spirit of God then no as well to him.

The Bible say SUBJECT. NOT SUBMIT; THEY Have DIFFERENT DEFINIONS... that is why I only read the KJV of the Bible for many Bibles have tried to make it plain, yet they destroy the true meaning when they change the words.

If men would follow God's word and treat their wife as a part of their own body and look after
her needs as they do their own, marriage would be a blessing as it was meant to be instead
of something to run from as most men see it today.

But since most men are only in marriage as long as it benefits them and are not concerned
with their wife's needs or well being, it is no wonder marriages fall a part. No person can
make another person happy. Adding a person to your life if you are happy with your life
allows you to share that happiness with that person but will not make you happy.
Unfortunately if there is a happy person, they usually attract a person that is their opposite
which in time destroys their happiness as this self focused person absorbs all they have
to give leaving them broken and alone.

The state of mankind is truely self focused and self absorbed. Only God can reverse this.

Eph 5:24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Now.. what is the Greek word behind 'subject'?

G5293
ὑποτάσσω
hupotassō
hoop-ot-as'-so

From G5259 and G5021; to subordinate; reflexively to obey: - be under obedience (obedient), put under, subdue unto, (be, make) subject (to, unto), be (put) in subjection (to, under), submit self unto.

so submit is part of the definition anyway..

Are we not all to be submission to one another, that comes before the directive for wives to be submissive to their husbands. Did not Jesus himself, give an example to the leadership of his church to be servant leaders when he humbled himself to wash their feet?

Women are to be subject to their husbands as unto the Lord, so the object of that submission is the Lord, but we are all to be submissive to one another. That is the heart of a Christian...self-less, to put others before oneself. Submission is not the admission of inferiority, it is placing oneself under willingly as unto the Lord. So if a husband leads a wife, as the Lord would, why would not one submit to that?

We see example after example of where women came along side-those that followed and supported Christ throughout Galilee, Phebe, who Paul said ministered unto his needs, Priscilla and Aquilla who both taught Apollos a more excellent way. Dorcus who was used in the church to support the widows. Elder women are told to teach younger women in Titus.

Thankyou for this post. It brings up a concern I have seen in some churches that women are of a lesser status or should submit to all men. I see alot of confusion over the place of women. I believe it needs to be properly clarified as to the roll women have in the church and less about the placement.
God bless, pickles
