Baby [water] baptism or adult [water] baptism
Neither.

Ceremonies are now filthy rags (Gal. 5:1-6).

Jesus fulfilled the law so that we might be justified by faith in Christ Jesus, not by faith plus water baptism.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 5:1)

In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise (Eph. 1:13)

To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. (Acts 10:43-44)

Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved. And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning. Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God? (Acts 11:14-17)

Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. (John 15:3)

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)

And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. (1 John 3:23)

For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. (Gal. 5:14)

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. (Rom. 10:4)

I have confidence in you through the Lord, that ye will be none otherwise minded: but he that troubleth you shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be. (Gal. 5:10)

God bless, in Christ Jesus

Luke 18:15-16
People were bringing even their infants to Christ to be touched by him, the discples rebuked them, but Christ rebuked the discples in turn and said:
Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to those such as these.

[HR][/HR]

infant baptism is not Biblical. The people who perform such things unless they Repent and Turn to Christ will end up in hell.
. . . . . . . . .

If the baby dies in its age of innocence, the baby will go to Heaven. It doesn't know sin.
But the parents and those who promote it will go....unless they Repent and Turn to Christ, not catholicism..

There is only One Who Truly Judge, none of us other than Him(Jesus) cannot. All we can do is warn..
Canon law does not delare the dammation of unbaptized unfants.

One thing noticeable about you anti-Catholics is the fact that you commonly misinterpret or misrepresent our doctrines when telling others about us.

Ella: 1 John 5.13 is relevant here.

Also: baptism is a symbol, not the operation by which salvation is received. You're a professional cosmetician, you said, right? I kind of look at it like this: your skin is your skin; you show your skin with make up, but the make up - however prominent - is always distinct from your actual, living skin, which precedes the make up.

Blessings.

Babies are DEDICATED be sprinkling, but baptism can occur whenever a child understands the need for it. He doesn't have to wait till 18 as I was taught.

There is no evil in what Hannah did, who was barren, then received her prayer to God. 1 Samuel 1:11 (KJV)
[SUP]11 [/SUP] And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

God awarded a son to her. She fulfilled her vow. 1 Samuel 1:27-28 (KJV)
[SUP]27 [/SUP] For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:
[SUP]28 [/SUP] Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.

God accepted the boy. In time Samuel did in fact hear from God and was anointed to become a mighty prophet. For that reason it is scriptural for a parent to dedicate a baby by the tradition of infant baptism, a tradition based on Hannah's dedication. It is declaring the same purpose.

The only negative to that is the infant growing up resting upon that dedication, not dedicating to the Lord Himself. Whether sprinkled or immersed in water baptism, the only act that matters is that personal dedication to Christ that one would want to mark as testifying to their own act of deification to the Lord.
