in my opinion, your wasting your time here............you should be on your knees talking with God........it's Him you are disrespecting............and that ain't a really, really good thing to do.........

Spend your time looking for answers from men and you will only be engaging in an exercise in futility...............God is Truth. If you want the Truth about what you should do.............well...............let me repeat..........God is Truth.

I got somehow bored of the gospel...
I cant find any interest in the bible and worship anymore.. I dont feel like praying...i cant get interrest anymore and if i ask god he wont make my interrests in him come back..

What shall i do?
I would suggest that you haven't known the gospel yet. So get those scriptures and study and pray saying Lord what have I missed.

Your bored because you have believed a Gospel without any power. A gospel that does not change your heart that you would delight in the Lord.

Jesus showed the Gospel every time He healed a person. but I see Christians talking about how free they are in Christ while still stuck on the ground like a paraplegic. Learn what it means to get up and walk. Read Romans 6, 7 and 8. but pray first and let God open your eyes to what Christ wants to do for and in you.

Blessings.

Hi, I think "dry spells" come to us all, times when our hearts don't seem to be into whatever task we know we need to perform. When this happens in regard to studying the Words of our Creator, or being grateful to Him for our every breath, we actually risk stepping outside His protection. My experience has been that He will get your attention somehow, and it isn't always in a pleasant way. Look at it this way, there is always a new thing to be discovered in the Word, always another glimpse of His character if we diligently seek, and when that happens it can change your whole outlook on life, getting closer to the Creator of everything.

Here's a verse that might spark interest, I know it's very interesting to me.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]The prophets, who prophesied about this gift of deliverance that was meant for you, pondered and inquired diligently about it. [SUP]11 [/SUP]They were trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of the Messiah in them was referring in predicting the Messiah’s sufferings and the glorious things to follow. [SUP]12 [/SUP]It was revealed to them that their service when they spoke about these things was not for their own benefit, but for yours. And these same things have now been proclaimed to you by those who communicated the Good News to you through the Ruach HaKodesh sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things!

See, we can learn things even the angels of Almighty do not know and they want to! :)

Question your salvation as a child of God WILL desire the milk of the word that they may grow thereby...and someone who is well on the way to biblical maturity will enjoy the (meat) of the word as meat belongs unto them of a full age!

And or get right with God, cut all worldly crap in your life (if you have such) and sincerely seek the God of Heaven!

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

Some fell on rocky ground, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture.
Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up with it and choked the plants.
(Luke 8:6-7)

Those on the rocky ground are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but in the time of testing they fall away.
The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature.
(Luke 8:13-14)

I used to use this as my prayer. I went through some dry periods as a young Christian. I did not know this can be a normal part of being a Christian. It is referred to as "The Dark Night of the Soul."

So I would pray every day "Lord I don't want to be on rocky ground, I don't want to be caught in thorny soil, I want you to transplant me to good soil, so that I can produce 100 fold."

My thought is to pray that prayer - all day and all night long. Pray and God will hear. I can't remember the last time I "lost" interest in the gospel.

Two other things that might help - read your Bible and pray in the morning - that way the presence of God will be with you all day. The final thing is to be a bold witness to the gospel. There is nothing that sets the soul on fire more than seeing someone come into the Kingdom of God, because God has used you to share the gospel.

Praying your heart gets transplanted to good soil, so God can use you for his glory!

I think i got it..
Its not about the interest, its about my faith. I dont need to ready bible that much or something like that to live the gospel.
I shall just live the gospel and try to aime on god. And its not about the worship time, its aboutt the entire day, week and....

Ps:god never sayed the gospel is something interresting..

Is that right?

Thnx for all the answers

I would say the very opposite. Read the Bible from cover to cover -every year. I have done that, and I am at over 50 times reading through the Bible. And it gets more interesting all the time. You won't know how to live the gospel, if you are not in the Word, because your standard will become the worldview of your culture, not God's standards.

And pray, pray, pray! And fast for a few days while you pray. Do a retreat. Take your Bible and a journal and fast the whole day. Somewhere in nature. And God will pour out to you, I promise. I think Stephen had some very realistic advice. Sometimes the rituals and/or excitement in a denomination makes it hard to maintain a level of interest in God. But reading your Bible is the best way to counter that.

Do read the Psalms - every day. I have been doing that for over 10 years now. There is something special about the laments, the praise, and the glory of God reflected in them. And read the narratives - Genesis is amazing. So is Exodus and Joshua and 1 & 2 Kings and many other books. Sometimes the prophets seem a bit mysterious, but God will show you what he wants in them.

Please pick up that Bible every morning, and read it and pray. I promise that you will not be disappointed.

the joy of the Lord is your strength.
(Nehemiah 8:10)

if you don't have any strength, what do you do to gain it?

diet and exercise!

Jesus said to them,
My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work."
(John 4:34)

For bodily exercise profiteth little:
but godliness is profitable unto all things,
having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

(1 Timothy 4:8)

read, pray, help the poor and feed the hungry.
devote yourself to what is good and keep yourself from what is evil.
seek God and thank Him for everything He gives you -- He is our strength and our joy! :)

Amen! But faith without works is dead. Today's Christianity has become a religion based on an acknowledgment of creeds, rather than, a movement based on others centered love.

Make a list of all the large and small blessing you have in your life and thank god for them. Remind yourself that without gods power and love you wouldn't even be alive. Talk to god about every little thing you do. Read his words and learn to trust him with everything. Even durning the drought of your life god will never leave you. He loves. The devil wants you to feel nothing but god can bring your heart peace and joy.

Rather...

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
(1Co 3:11)

Call it a creed if that is your need,
I'll call it the truth, that is my plead.

Pray.

O Lord and Master of my life!

Take from me the spirit of sloth,
faint-heartedness, lust of power, and idle talk.

But give rather the spirit of chastity,
humility, patience, and love to Thy servant.

Yea, Lord and King! Grant me to see my own errors
and not to judge my brother,
for Thou art blessed unto ages of ages. Amen. (Prayer of St. Ephrem the Syrian)

Get an easy to read bible that is written the way you like and do a fast read to learn the story that the bible is about. Do not worry about the mistakes in it all you want is the real adventure that the Bible talks about and then open your regular Bible and read from it the stories that you have a new interest in.
When someone post a subject read about it like a book like an adventure or love story or travel along with Jesus or how about that money changer story the Bible is full of wonderful things.

Fellowship with others who are on Fire for the LORD. join a men's group where they do Bible study, bowling and other things that connect them spiritually together where there is accountability and security. Pray to GOD about it and be sincere open your heart totally to GOD and GOD will bring the Joys of Life to you. Never allow the world to offer you death and you embrace it it may bring happiness but never Joy and in times of hardship it will leave you.

Blessings!!!!!!!

Lukeguardian, Sorry, but you give us no indication that God has saved you. Salvation is a revolutionary experience, You will feel completely brand new. You need to start in earnest to seek God's grace and be renewed, born of God to a brand new life. You must read the Gospels and all the New Testament books and don't read the boring old t. books about all the regulations of the Jews way of worship. Read Genesis and the Psalms. to get a sense of how to live before God in a wicked fallen world with a real heart love for the things of God. If you don't love God and obeying His word, I don't think you are saved. Please report to us your adventures in you study,LIKE, take a few days of reading God's word, Gospel of John, and tells us what you have learned. It would be good to read the first epistle of John and report back to us all the proof of your birth into God's family; There are several ways given by John to test our walk with God to prove our BIRTH of GOD into HIS FAMILY. See if you are really saved. Remember God's warning to the Church of Sardis, Rev. 3:3"Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will no know what hour I will cone upon you." v,5"He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments; and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My father and before His angels."
God Bless, Love to all, Hoffco

The good news is that Christ has not lost interest in you. He is beside you right now - and is loving you immensely. When you say you can't even "pray seriously", I wonder how you interpret that. Begin sharing your feelings of boredom, how you don't want to worship anymore, your real feelings. There is no right way to pray. All God wants is your honest feelings - to be YOUR prayer. But keep talking! You will never say anything to shock him - He has heard it all. The benefit to doing this is He will respond in some way. Anticipate and watch for it.
