Gingers?

I noticed on a site, where people that claimed to be Christians was chastising people with red hair. Claiming that redheads have no soul, and was hated by God...What is the deal with this? As from what I have witnessed, redheads are no less soul less than any other hair color..Is there scripture that points these things to be true? Will you please show me? If people are in their minds being taught this, no wonder why my life has not gone well! Thank you in advance!

its pretty much a joke that gingers have no souls and every freckle is someone elses soul they have stolen. Im pretty sure it started with south park of all things

No, it has been around longer than that..I heard something about it while I was young too, and I am 48 now. South Park only brought it out into the light of society more, before it was more secretive.

Sandy, you have two options to find out what the Bible says about redheads, one quick and one slower, but better.

You can go to Biblegateway. com and put in redheads, or just google "Redheads in the Bible" and see if anything comes up. I don't think it does, because people living in the Middle East all had dark hair which is dominant. There might have been a few women in Egypt using henna to make their hair appear red, but I doubt God cares what colour hair or skin anyone has.

The other, better option is to read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Because you are redhaired, you would probably notice any references to it. You would also learn the Bible and hopefully learn how to find things on your own.

The final thing is to be secure in your calling in Christ. If you know for sure you are a born again Christian, why should it matter what any internet site or commentors says? Be strong and courageous! I am sure there are quit a few Irish believers, for example, who would take strong issue with this comment.

I found this verse in my early 50's when my hair started turning quite gray and it gave me great hope that I could still serve God.

Still Life With Woodpecker, a book by Tom Robbins published in 1980, goes into this...

Princess Leigh-Cheri, a redheaded vegetarian liberal princess and former cheerleader, lives with her exiled royal parents Max and Tilli and their last loyal servant Gulietta in a converted farmhouse in Seattle. While attending a liberal CareFest in Hawaii with scientific and political speakers (including Leigh-Cheri's idol, Ralph Nader) Leigh-Cheri meets Bernard Mickey Wrangle, an outlaw bomber known as the Woodpecker. Like Leigh-Cheri, he is a redhead, and unlike her, he plans to blow up the CareFest.

At the Care Fest, Leigh-Cheri is approached by a beautiful blonde who claims she is from the planet Argon. She informs Leigh-Cheri that redheads are considered evil on her planet and that red hair is caused by "sugar and lust." As it turns out, the Woodpecker has a passion for tequilla that inadvertently causes him to bomb a UFO conference instead of his intended target. After the UFO conference is destroyed, a number of people see lights in the sky which seems to prove that the ambassadors from Argon were real.

Its South Park they did an episode about gingers and them being evil. I honestly can't believe people would take that seriously. These people who are doing it probably don't even know where it came from, there just repeating what others say. Ignoring them is your best bet or maybe explaining to them that they got there convictions from a stupid paper cut out cartoon.

Oh, it's origins are much more ancient than South Park. As I mentioned above, it was a popular pagan beliefs in many parts of Europe during the Middle Ages.

I know that now. But honestly it wouldn't surprised me if it was just from south park. The show was heavily influenced by the Columbine shootings.
