No worries, it is true in any group to whom letters were written, there will have been those that are not truly saved...but it is the intent of the author that I look at.

I like being challenged.. this thread offers plenty of challenge LOL

No worries there either, you are not one of them...but you can if you want..challenge me that is :)

Thats true sis. my point was that the author of Hebrews wrote to his Hebrew bretheryn, saved or not, no person who goes back to law was saved, if they were saved, they would never return.

No book is is written solely to believers, it may be addressed to saints, but each author acknowledges by is words peopl reading his words may be in church but not yet saved, and They give warning they may need to hear,

by the way I am not arguing with you or judging you, just giving you a different view.

Okay, let me get this straight...

Works are not required for salvation, but if I don't have works I will not be saved on the Day of Judgment.

This is hilarious, lol! You're just trolling, right?
It's too much.

Personally, I can't stand it anymore !!

without context to scripture, how will you grow. and understand ,what god is doing in your life. if your cut off. etc

if it your interpretation is wrong.
My interpretation is not wrong; it is the clear reading of scripture that you are missing - the context is, God's grace in our life from the beginning to the end - difficult for some who believe they can cranck out their own salvation once they are saved, in stead of resting in Christ Jesus work on the cross - it's a heart issue.

"The ground of St. Paul’s confidence in their perseverance is the belief that it was God’s grace which began the good work in them, and that, not being resisted (as was obvious by their enthusiasm for good), He would complete what He had begun. In his view, God’s grace is the beginning and the end; man’s co-operation lies in the intermediate process linking both together. This is made still plainer in; 13. For more info: Philippians 1:6 Commentaries:

"For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.

intent of the author. This is a must amen sis, there are many things we need to look at when trying to interpret what an author is saying, I agree,

and thanks, same with you, iron sharpens iron as they say.

There is only one meaning of being saved.. God is not double minded.. like you and et may i add.

Being saved is being saved,, whoever is saved by the grace of God has been connected to the vine.. and as the vine keeper says if you dont bare fruits your out...

this is not my desision or yours thats how it is written..

Apparently some do according to my wife.
I don't ask questions I just say "yes dear"

What I think looks like a weed is apparently a flower.

Oh well what do I know, I can't tell my ass from my elbow half the time.

On a positive note I don't get to do the gardening
