That's the problem. There's too many cliques... :/
It's human nature to group together with persons of similar interests, values, social status; or in the case of the BDF, doctrine.

so I have no idea how so many people miss any posts on CC.
Easy, some persons (myself included) have a limited amount of time so we check specific forums every time we log in and only meander beyond those forums when we have more time.

I think what the op was talking about is the unofficial groups that seem to flock together. like the kjv only people or when there is a debate on the rapture the pre tribs or post tribs or say we are talking about grace and the law you will see the law people and the grace people.

Generally the same people tend to appear in certain threads

And the Lynx always pokes his black whiskered nose in on a thread in Singles Forum with "BDF" in the title. =^.^=

That's because some of us have smartened up, realized there is no convincing someone where bad eschatology is concerned. I do take the occasional stab at KJVO I confess. So far, no one has bent my way, either! Not sure why they don't believe me, I mean, I am the arbiter of truth, right?

(Ducks the rocks, eggs and general stuff being thrown my way!)

Well, of course. Are you going to jump into a JW or Mormon thread to defend the practices? I sure hope not. Naturally, if someone tries to say in a post that we are saved by doing 14 "Hail Mary's" you and a bunch of us would be there as a united front.

Well, being a JW, I can't be expected to keep up with all the changing Catholic stuff too.

Just to note: I have escaped from the BDF, anyone can do it. Well, the reason is because the BDF is quite boring and nothing interests me right now. I found this thread on the right side of my home page, and voilà, here I am! LOL

If I get argumentative, send me back. Say its because I am not single, don't belong here. I can take the hit! Besides, I need to go study German, so leaving is necessary.

Did you ever find the internet to be SO addicting?? LOL

Everyone knows that studying German is an automatic ticket to purgatory (sorry, Demi... Love ya! :D)

It's the Singles Timeout Box for you, Fraulein Angela!

Don't worry.

Two thirds of us are already there (at least you'll be in good company.)

Have you people noticed that there is a certain pecking order in the BDF forum? And that the people on the bottom end of that pecking order are forced to find other forums to spread their...ah...doctrines?

Inevitably they wind up here, there and everywhere...
I basically banned myself from the BDF years ago. If drama and endless arguing are interesting to some then more power to them, but I prefer to not feel like I'm in a win-less game of tug of war... The 'speak your mind' thread is the only one I participate in there, and it doesn't even belong in the BDF :p

In extreme cases lighting a candle may be necessary also.

Best way to deal with any forum is be yourself. I could care less what the pecking order is,or rather what people think it is. I speak what I believe, others are free to do the same. I try not to follow threads that go in circles or ones that will never be solved this side of heaven. So pretty much I stay out of BDF. But you get the same attitude wherever you go here. I can be friends with people, even if they disagree with me.Some people are not mature enough to handle that, that's their issue. We're all going to the same heaven so they better get use to me.

"Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone."(1)
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.
Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.(2)
