Yes!
As far as I know it is only Jehovah's Witnesses who disagree with this - and they are NOT part of Christianity....

Jehovah Witnesses and their opinions are irrelevant. They are not Christians according to apostolic line of faith. They are a sect originated in 18th century after the controversy about a false prophet Miller.

So, what is the reason for jehovah witness to not accept these? When i studied with them, they believe that God does not accept B.T. and O.D. I question this every time it pops up in my head because doesnt God love life? If so, why doesnt he accept this?

Speaking as a person who had FOUR back to back blood transfusions back in 2010, I can most assuredly say I probably wouldn't be alive right now if it weren't for someone else's blood. :) I'm pretty sure God is okay with it.

Micro, Jehovah's Witnesses are NOT Christians.. God does indeed love life. :) If you're a JW, I strongly suggest disassociating with them, and become a Christian. :)

well He did give His blood for us on the cross... don't see why He would have a problem us giving it to save another.

As far as I knoe JWs don't allow it because the bible says the life is in the blood.
To be honest, i don't know how i feel about donors for myself. But i don't think God will damn anyone for having them

JWs dont mix blood because the bible says not to mix blood.

Deuteronomy 12:23
Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life, and you shall not eat the life with the flesh.

this is one of many passages that teach this.

Key word: EAT.. As in, don't eat raw meat that still has blood in it. Eating raw meat, and getting blood transfusions have nothing to do with each other.. :)

My husband wouldn't be alive today, if the Lord didn't.

He had over 50 pints of blood given to him, and a microvalve from a pig we've posthumously named Porky.

(Now whenever the medical staff talks about his valve, he tells them he weeps a little every time he smells bacon. lol)

I don't understand why you question if God accepts this. After all, the Lord laid down what was and what wasn't "acceptable" millenniums ago. (If he didn't say anything about it, and it's not in there, then he has no problem with it. That's my answer to the raspberry issue too. Raspberries are not listed as a clean or unclean food, thus they aren't an issue with the Lord, and we are free to eat raspberries. lol) If you want to question someone, question the JW's who created their own laws.

And why do people make their own laws? Simple. Any rational person can read God's law and catch on quickly, "I can't do this." To some, that brings us to our knees asking the Lord's mercy over our incapabilities. To others, they are too prideful to do that and create a new law they're capable of keeping.

And if anyone were talking about food consumption, (like that passage is dealing with), it would be connected to the conversation.

the Lord seems to be concerned with the "life" that is contained in the blood. thats what He does not want mixing in the body, what difference does it make how the blood gets in there?
