Asking for prayer. After 8 yr.s of marriage cannot take the emotional and verbal abuse. Also the cheating and lies.So we are filing for divorce. It is uncontested @ this point. Also need God to move financially. I am a seasoned christian, maybe why for me it makes this so difficult.I tried to change someone who would not change.I know only God can change them. Also know I settled for alot and now am reaping what I settled for.I am not perfect either.Pray God forgives me.Feeling I have failed and the torment of a bad decision that has me feeling empty.

God has already forgiven you, sis. Now you may need to work on forgiving yourself, and your husband, too. Look for the lessons, to help you cultivate gratitude. Allow yourself to grieve, also. Be gentle with yourself.

I have prayed for you. It is true that you must forgive yourself and be thankful to yourself and to God for having the strength to remove yourself from this situation and move forward. God Bless you.

Joybubble, Some encouragement for you in the Lord...Your Heavenly Father loves to redeem lives & bring wholeness where there is brokenness, peace where there is pain & provisions where there is lack. Just know that as you keep your heart close to the Lord, He will make all things new in your life. Continue yielding to Him daily, and all that seems lost will be restored. Jesus will help you through the pain of this marriage separation. Praying for you!

I’m so sorry to hear that, friend. My heart ached as I read your post, and I wish I could give you a hug. I know how difficult and painful it must be for you. Have you considered talking to a counselor? Do you think that's something that might be helpful for you personally? I just said a prayer for you, asking God to surround you with His perfect love, comfort, strength, and peace. I know it’s not easy right now, but stay strong. Sending hugs & prayers your way!

Already have.He has some mental issues that seem to cloud him from being truthful, plus says alot and as soon as things are done being discussed right back to same person.Plus he literally tortures my autistic son.Bullies him, will not let him eat a snack at times. He is not allowed to talk around us much, because he belittles him the whole time, as well as me.If we try to discuss things, if he does not like it tells us ok I am done talking now, thank you for not arguing .My son is a grown man ,but also many times acts as a child. He hid in his room most of the time. When we went out to eat he would miserably nag and treat us horrible. My son in his eyes could do nothing right. So this divorce is just not a need for me,but a have too for both of us.Sad when being in a marriage feels like prison.I was not allowed to visit family in the state I am from. Each year I was not able to do things. Always an excuse. If we decided to go ahead and go do something like go fishing etc.My son would be the one to pay.So do not take divorce lightly and need to use wisdom in all things.God does not want us to live under bondage.Rather live in a cardboard box then to ever be in that place again.ATM have very little funds waiting on God to move.Either way will praise him, because he has set us free/

I'm so sorry for your troubles. It is important to rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, and to be constant in prayer, knowing that "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." I know things seem bleak, but know that God is at work and He will never forsake you. We pray for your will, Father God, and that you are glorified, knowing that you all work all things out for good for those of us who love you and are called for your purpose. We pray for guidance, comfort, and peace in the knowing that your love abides and sets us free. In Jesus name, Amen!
