You don't get it... it's not about US, but GOD :) Has never been about us. When we make it about us, then it's not about God anymore, but about our own greatness... our own wonderfulness that we are so awesome and mighty and YAY I'm just so perfect in my flesh. YAY I don't sin like that person does... I'm so glad I'm not like that sinner over there.. why? Because I'm able to keep "myself" so good and holy and perfect, because I'm something special. So, I choose to entrust my complete spiritual well being in Christ.. Which btw, is what believe means in the Greek :)

Fact is.. I"m trash and my heart is deceitfully wicked. My righteousness is as a filthy rag.. so how can I ever expect that I can be so good to earn or keep my salvation? That's arrogance on my part if I believe that.
God has provided a way of escape from our sins, so that we shall be saved. It is up to us to accept God's gift of salvation initially, and thanks to our free will we can reject God's gift of salvation any time we wish. Some people do, and such a person becomes apostate.

If anyone corrupts God’s temple, God will corrupt this one, for God’s temple is holy, which you are. 1 Corinthians 3:17
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

Let's just see how it's not possible for us to keep or even earn our salvation. Scripture is clear:

Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

The point is, is that we sin regardless. If you are a Child of God, you sin. If you are not a child of God, you sin. There is not one person that is righteous in God’s eyes, except what Christ has imputed to us.

Ecc 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

So here we see that there is nobody just and we all sin. Again, if we can lose our salvation; if we commit some type of sin, the scripture clearly teaches that every person sins, so therefore, none of us can keep salvation, therefore, again, this places us ALL going to hell, if in fact, salvation is conditional.

Isa 64:6 But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

The fact remains is that none of us are righteous, except what Christ has imputed to us, and what righteousness we do have, in and of ourselves, are as a filthy rag. We all fall short of the glory of God, and why we need a Savior to bring us ETERNAL salvation.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

So, based on the Word of God we have just read, this can be our conclusion:

  1. No one is righteous
  2. No one is just
  3. No one does good
  4. Everybody sins
  5. We are all unclean
  6. We all are in iniquity
  7. All fall short of God’s Glory

Based on the facts in the Word of God, it is impossible for any of us to think that we have something to do with keeping our salvation. If anything, thus far, we are ALL unable to keep salvation, thus placing us all in hell if it’s conditional.

1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

Again, we are all sinners. It doesn’t matter if you have been a child of God for 1 year or 60 years; you have sinned. If you say that you don’t sin, then you are deceived and the truth is not in you. The good news is that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us those sins.

Thank God for sending His only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ to save a wretch like me.

HALLELUJAH YESHUA HAMASHIOCH

Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

God has provided a way for ALL sins to be forgotten as far as the east is from the west.. and ALL our sins and iniquities He remembers no more.... how? Through Jesus Christ. Not some, but ALL. Scripture does not lie. And I can't throw God anyway any less than I can oxygen or my earthly father.

Yes, God's salvation is assured for those who believe in him, but some, even though they believe in oxygen still suffocate.

Yup, that's what sin does if you wanna try and do it as a child of God. It makes you MISERABLE and you'll suffocate until you realize it's not fun anymore lol. It's not like Jesus is sitting up there... Okay, I knew PS from before the foundations of the earth. I knew he was going to accept me....

I knew PS was a sinner... but that's okay, he accepts me as Lord and Savior. It's not like Christ looks at His Father and says... OOOPS I made a mistake... PS just did something wrong, let me stop ADVOCATING for him until he says 50 hail marry's and makes himself right again... THEN I'll go back and advocate for him ... see how funny that sounds?

Do people really believe this? lol! That God GIVES US to Christ the Son.. then says none will be lost and then one day says.. hmmm... I made a mistake...

God is not like man. We are thinking carnally like man when we do this. God is ABOVE all this and NEVER backs out of a covenant. And when we are in that covenant, we can't back out either... why? Because HE CHOSE US... we have nothing to do with it but accept Christ and profess. We can't unson ourselves from our Heavenly Father, just as we can't our earthly father.

Again, if not ONE will be lost, then we don't have a choice. It's not what we do but what He did. We cannot UNDO what God has done and promised and sealed. A child of God will never throw Jesus away anyway, because they have fully trusted in HIM and what HE DID. Why would we throw that away? We won't. And IF we could, I think God would bring us home because He won't allow us, nor will HE break ANY covenant that He has made with us. Since His Spirit lies within us and we are now the TEMPLE of God, He's not going to throw us in hell. He can't! That would be like throwing Himself in Hell. It's impossible. We are HIS, and CHOSEN... If we can throw it away, then God is a very weak God that cannot keep His own.. in which would make scripture invalid and nothing but lies, because God IS ABLE to keep us until the day of redemption.

riiiiight

you believe man can choose to break what God has sealed....

do you believe man has any choice in wether he is born?

or born again ?

He provides the way

He calls

He revealed the truth

belief and unbelief in response to this

it is a reaction
not a choice

genuine belief is followed by a new heart and quickened spirit... this is a saving faith which endures

unbelief
or pretend belief paired with head knowledge do not recieve a new heart or quickened spirit

You aren't allowing for human nature and free will. People do change, people do convert to other religions and cults forsaking Yahweh. It happens and to try and deny it would be foolish.

Human nature? I deny human nature most of the time because greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. People use human nature to justify their sins. "I'm only human." Well don't claim your humanity because you are now a NEW CREATION. And yes, the only real choice in life that is worth anything IS TO CHOOSE life or death; therefor, choose life. Choose Christ. That's the only choice that will ever amount to anything, as everything else, in reality, is vanity. Yes we have free will, and that is limited to our actions on earth. Even Paul struggled with doing what was right in his flesh, but he KNEW the God whom he served. Yup, free choice, Paul had it too. But see, Paul also knew that He was CHOSEN and SEALED as well. He was the "Chiefest of sinners", based on his own profession. Did he throw his salvation away? Nope.. He knew it was impossible, and if it "were", he never would have either, b/c who would ever be able to save him from the body of sin? He knew the way was Christ and Christ alone. Man might be wishy washy and change our minds all we want about things, but God is again, NOT MAN. We cannot compare ourselves to GOD's way.

Why do men always want to use themselves as a determining factor of who they are in Christ? It's not US anymore, but Christ that lives IN US. Free-will does not include itself to what God has done and promised and declared from before the creation of the world. A true Christian, that has fully entrusted their spiritual well being would never throw that away because they KNOW that Christ is the only way to eternal life.

Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Hmmm... Born not of blood, nor the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, but of GOD. Cannot EVER undo what God has done when it's not by our will, mind, flesh, or man. God KNEW who would accept Him from before creation of the World, and since we have accepted Him, He cannot and will not break that marriage covenant like men do.
