I just wanted to create this post to testify of the glory God has shown me the last couple weeks, and to the absolute truth and power of His living word. I am pretty sure most here at least know a little about what lead me to Jesus, not only because I have my testimony posted here, but also because I always use it in my post when sharing my point of view. I was not raised in the church and lived like a heathen most of my life, at 31 I was in a motorcycle wreak that took all function from my right arm. This lead to me breaking under the pressure of trying to hold it all on my shoulders, with no hope at all of fixing any of it, I hit my knees dead in sin and defeat, and quit, quit "my way" in hopeless defeat. Then....at 33 -->He<-- picked me up, He showed me mercy, and by His grace, through Jesus, I was born again. From there I started researching everything I could about God, Religions, history, science, and just anything and everything I could get my hands on, to learn as much as I could about our great Creator that had just revealed Himself and indwelt me with His Spirit. I just couldn’t get enough, the bible first, then the roots of other religions, the beliefs taught in my own church, really anything and everything I could that had to do with God, and I still feel the same way, but for a long while I really didn’t know how to, or actual go out and share His truth, the gospel, just learned and did the church functions an stuff. Which by the way was just helping me to understand, grow in, and explain the reason for the hope inside of me.

I wanted to give a quick rundown of what lead me to these things I’m about to share, it has been 5 years since He saved me and I am still in awe that God can take fallen people like me, make us new, then tell us to “go make disciples of all nation”. Right at a year ago He lead me into jail ministry, going to the jail to speak one on one with inmates. I hear this testified so often in these testimonies, but I had no idea what to do or how to do it, all I knew was Jesus was truth, was the ONLY way to reconciliation with God, therefore the only possible means for men to find true joy, love, truth, love, mercy. I was a beggar that found a hidden treasure in a field and wanted to share it with everyone. As the weeks went by I would go do my best, week after week I would go talk about Jesus with inmates, and I would learn more each time, and was really surprised how much I got out of doing this, as far as gaining a deeper understanding through experience, of what Jesus calls us to do, and that was started 2,000 years ago. I want to proclaim He still has ALL authority on earth, and His word is the power to save men and redeem a fallen, broken world, the ONLY way. Praise His mighty name!

Through this, and life in general God had drawn me closer and opened my eyes to things I never even imagined about Him, His Holy nature, and the Glory He is worthy of. The power to save is in His words, and we are called to go share these words with everyone. Well a few weeks ago I was asked if I would come and speak at a retirement home, and I said I would. The night before I went there I was at this really awesome thing held on Saturday nights where they set up, feed everyone, worship, and have a brother share a word, right out in the middle of town, it’s awesome. I was there and this homeless guy “Boston Mike” came up and just introduce himself, gave me a hug, and said “keep doing what you’re doing, your helping guys out”. I didn’t know what he was talking about, but he went on to explain that he had been in jail the week or two before, and he saw me there. Apparently one of the guys I called up to talk to was super agitated in the cell, was real mad and giving the guards a hard time, well he said he went in to speak with me, once he came out he was like a different person, much more calm and even speaking about Jesus, there was another guy in there I had met with and he said they even said a prayer together. I am not making a boast, I didn’t even see this, but I do believe God has the power to do this, just by proclaiming His truth, and showing someone His love.

The next morning I went to the retirement home to share, and I spoke about our worth as image bearers of God, and why we suffer, and how we grow and learn in suffering, and that it was through the most suffering I had ever experienced in my life, that I was saved by Him. I praise God for my arm now. By the time I was done there wasn’t a dry eye in the place (including mine, and 1,000% by His Spirit and nothing I did at all) and they were all thanking and praising God, and hugging me. He is so powerful and just amazing. Later on that week on Wednesday night I was up at the jail speaking to a guy, and I was just telling him about the true price paid for our sins, while laying out the simple but profound gospel message, and I could see Gods power effecting his heart, the tears came and God power was made manifest again in a truly amazing way. I’m am so amazed by God more and more every day, and I praise Jesus mighty name. I just wanted to share this for 1 reason, to maybe encourage others to “go make disciples of all nations”, even when you don’t know exactly what or how to do it., He will guide you, and is so amazing. One last thing I want to say is that I love all my brothers and sisters here on Christian Chat, and pray we are all drawn closer to Him in truth every day, and that we can strive to show Christ love in, not only how we treat and reach out to the lost, but even more so in how we treat each other like

John 13:34-35 says

“34A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so also you must love one another. 35By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”
