Well the words were running together on my screen so I took a nap for about 1 ½ hours. I feel so much better now. Magenta's story about parent's middle names reminded me about a conversation with my daughter a couple of years ago.

She said she was doing an online lookup for a man name Francis Eades. I asked: why would you do that? She said she was trying to get info on my dad. I said well you had better lookup John Francis then. My mother always called him by his middle name and she thought is was his first name.

It seems their generation was a lot less talkative and did a lot more lying than we are used to. She had been married to him about 8 years before he died. She was 28 when he died, she estimates he was about 64. She could never get him to admit his age, but that would put his birth year about 1888. On my birth certificate my mother listed Terra Haute, Indiana. On my brother David's, he listed another small town just East of there.

I wondered the same thing :whistle::coffee::giggle::alien::devilish::alien::giggle::coffee::whistle::unsure:

I have a coffee story :D:p:D

I got to work a bit later than usual today :D I was informed right away that the kettle was not working, and we discussed options (there are coffee shops near-by). However, my one co-worker has some fancy espresso machine in a back room, and some were going for that. I do not really care for my coffee that way, so thought I would just boil water in cups in the microwave oven instead. While I was grinding the coffee beans for that, the coffee bean grinder also went Kaput  My beans were ground, though, and the water got hot but probably not really hot enough in the microwave oven (the coffee tasted a little weaker than normal). I blame it on becoming distracted when the grinder died LOL

My boss, being the smart young man he is, went out right away to replace the kettle and bean grinder. I thought it was really rather convenient for them both to become defunct at the same time :D The grinder had worked for many many years. The kettle? Not so many. But the kettle gets used more often, multiple times every day, five days a week. It's time had come

So, Deade, how do you enter your special fonts?:unsure::unsure:

My twin brother has done extensive research into our family tree. My dad was a bit of an influence on me becoming interested in photography, as he took lots of pictures himself, many of which my mother gave to me many years ago when I was visiting. She pulled out this box full of all the old family photos which predated their wedding, even, and included some of their wedding pictures, as well as baby pics of all my siblings as they were being born (not the actual birth ;)), and growing up, and family photos from special occasions. It was quite the treasure! She said, take what you want, and leave the rest. I took almost all of it.

Years later when she passed away, my siblings discovered I had pictures some of them claimed to have never seen, and they wondered how in the world I had gotten them. Giving them to me was a good choice, though, for I had many of the baby pictures reprinted and had already sent them to my siblings. It was the wedding pictures that stunned them, and other photos from before they were married. We were able to figure out who many of the other people were in the photographs :)

I had them printed before digital really became a thing, so that was a little unfortunate, because I could have scanned all the negs instead of masking them and just printing them optically. One of these days I suppose I will digitize them. It will be a job :)

First you write in your text, then highlight and name it something-anything. Unhighlight it and go to that little cog on your menu-bar [toggle BB code]. You will see the font name. You can go there and change it to any of the following:

Algerian / AR blanca / AR berkley / AR cena / AR delaney / ariel black / Bahnschrift SemiBold / bodoni MT black / cooper black

bradley hand ITC / broadway / chiller / comic sans MS / forte / segoe script

Toggle the cog back to display your work, then you can color it and size it all you want. Have fun!

Here are some more fonts that work: It pretty much works with any font.

AR destine / Baskerville old face / Bernard MT condensed / Kristen ITC / lucida calligraphy /

Yes they are typically small, you just have to size them larger. This is broadway size 26.

That is the ONE thing that annoys me about this new platform: old posts that had small font now display as normal, but fonts that were altered to be larger now display smaller than normal :p:mad::sick::cry::alien::devilish::alien::cry::sick::mad::p

Well, that is colorful
