The last part is not correct...?
Jesus Himself is NOT that eternal life...?
2 Timothy 1:10-11 New Living Translation (NLT)
10 And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News. 11 And God chose me to be a preacher, an apostle, and a teacher of this Good News.

From the above statement in timothy "He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News. "
"He illuminated the WAY TO Eternal life and immortality"

Ok but that is still not the answer to my question.

Here is a more prophetic answer

There are 2 words for gospel in the Hebrew Scripture.

The first is "Levaser" which Jesus speaks as in..."the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings" (Is. 61:1)
Good tidings here is the word "Levaser"

This word is composed of 2 elements which together can mean "to the flesh"

The other word for gospel in the OT is "Mevaser."

As in..."blessed on the mountain are the feet of they who bring glad tidings" (Is. 52:7)

That word is likewise comprised of 2 elements...which together mean "from the flesh."

So we could say that the whole meaning of the gospel is that Jesus came TO the flesh in order to save us FROM the flesh.

Ok Let me rephrase the What is the Gospel according to jesus christ. You gave pauls definition
Why exactly do you dislike Paul's definition of the gospel?

What specifically is your problem with that?

IS THAT YOUR FINAL DEFINITION
It's not any sort of definition. You started the thread, then modified the request. Given your responses to others, you clearly have an agenda... though I'm not sure whether it is to learn (not likely), to teach (ineffective approach), to test others (inappropriate but common), or to troll.

By the way, using ALL CAPS is the internet equivalent of shouting.

Jesus said to Pilot (Paraphrase) All those on the side of TRUTH listens to me. (John 18:38) ( Paul is only a commentary on scripture ) Jesus is the real deal.
2 Peter 3:15-16 New Living Translation (NLT)
15 And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved. This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him— 16 speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture. And this will result in their destruction.

So your belief is that Paul's writings are not scripture?

Is that correct, that you believe Paul's writings are not scripture?

You might just be on kinda shaky ground since all of orhtodox Christianity considers Paul to be scripture, the early church fathers considered Paul to be scripture, and even the apostle Peter said Paul's writings were scripture.

No that is not what i said.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 English Standard Version (ESV)
16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God[a] may be complete, equipped for every good work.

Paul is a commentator. Jesus is the real deal.

Hebrews 2:3 New Living Translation (NLT)
3 So what makes us think we can escape if we ignore this great salvation that was first announced by the Lord Jesus himself and then delivered to us by those who heard him speak?

Yes paul's writings are scripture. to help us understand our redemptive status in christ. thank god for paul's letters.
But we must not think for one minute that paul's writing are to override the teaching/messages of jesus. That puts us in great error.
as paul asked. "Did I die for you?

All scripture is of equal weight and authority, because it all comes from God.

All scripture is "God breathed."

It all comes from God.
All scriptures are the very words and thoughts of God, simply given to us through different agents.

God cannot breathe any words that are less than holy and perfect.
God cannot breathe any words that disagree and contradict.
Any words that God breathes, because they come from God, are by definition perfect, pure, holy, and unable to be contradictory.

If all scripture comes by God's spirit, all scripture comes by the spirit of Christ:

If all scripture comes from God, and all scriptures are the words of God, then there is essentially no difference between the words uttered by Christ in bodily form, and the words uttered by the "spirit of Christ" through Paul.

The holy spirit is sometimes called "the spirit of Christ."
This is what moved men to write scripture; it was the the holy spirit... the spirit of Christ.

Whether Christ spoke through his own human mouth during the incarnation, or he spoke through another mouth by his spirit... it is the same Christ.

OK the last statement that you made is error. As peter said Paul's letters are only comments on the Gospel:

Acts 9:13-15 New Living Translation (NLT)

15 But the Lord said, “Go, for Saul is my chosen instrument to take my message (gospel) to the Gentiles and to kings, as well as to the people of Israel.

Please take note there is only one gospel.
And the question at the beginning is what is the gospel.

Hi @kingofkings, Paul was an Apostle, Jesus is God, so He is certainly the "Real Deal" in that sense. Assuming that you understand all of the Apostle's words (in his Epistles) to be the very "breathed" words of God, how do you see them as different/less important than the words that He spoke ("breathed") while He walked among us?

Thanks!

John 8:48 But all who reject me and my message will be judged on the day of judgment by the truth I have spoken. (not paul's truth)

There is only ONE gospel and that is the gospel that JESUS Father told him to preach. Which inturn he told paul and all his deciples to preach.
And the question is what is that gospel.

I'm not sure that would even qualify as a cryptic answer to my question  I will answer your main OP question, which is what I stopped by to do actually, but I'd like to hear your answer to my question first.

Thanks again!

That Gospel is the "Good News." So you must ask yourself, what is the good news? Why is it so good? You emphasized "the way to eternal life and immortality" but it says that the way is "through the Good News." The Good News is that Jesus died for your sins, resurrected on the third day, and now, through Him are you reconciled to God. It is good news because no longer is it a righteousness of our own doing, as if by merit, but we are saved by grace through faith. A righteousness of faith, not works. It is so good because we fall short of God's glory, yet His grace is sufficient.
