I'm guessing you mean 80s hair metal/AOR?

Nothing off the top of my head has that commercial sound and the deeper vocals both, but i can point you to bands in that genre. Many are older bands now, since the genre isn't so popular anymore.

This is one of the more recent bands, they have one album, maybe an EP and are working on a new album now.

Here's a list. Some fall into the hair metal/aor and others a bit outside, gave some variety. Many are old. Some may not be easy to find due to the name. Try typing 'Christian metal' and the band name into YT if the name is too simplistic (such as Zion or Recon)

Bloodgood - 80s band that did an album a few years back
Messiah Prophet
Ken Tamplin/Shout
Magadallan
Guardian
Whitecross
Stryper
White Heart
King James
Jerusalem
Barren Cross
Sacred Warrior - Another 80s band with some recent material
Narnia
Mastedon
Recon
Zion
Fighter
Angelica
HB - female fronted
Eowyn - female fronted rock/metal with an industrial tinge
Crystavox
Desyre
Love Life/Fear Not - same band, similar styles
Ransom - Female fronted
X-Sinner/GX Project - some of the same members, XS was 80s GX is more recent
P. K. Mitchel - Did an awesome album of hymns to rock/metal
Bride - Early stuff is darker, most of their stuff was more hair/commercial
Haven
Philadelphia
Ressurection Band (Rez Band) - Started in the 70s, ran nearly 25 years, so plenty of diversity in their albums
WASP - Yes, Blackie Lawless got saved years ago and has released a few Christian albums
Holy Soldier
Leviticus
Lex Rex
Neon Cross
Red Sea
Siloam
Worldview
Xalt
Guardian - First album was more glam, the rest was more bluesy rock/metal
Whitecross - Can anyone say Ratt?

Bands less in the commercial/hair sound
Theocracy
Armageddon - Judas Priest anyone?
Faith Factor
Saint - Another similar to Judas Priest, early to mid 80s, regrouped in 2000's for a few albums. Singer quit near the end, replacement less impressive

This is Pastor Bob Beeman. He started the first 'metal church' in the 80s and has been helping to pioneer Christian rock/metal since. He does short videos on YT answering questions and sharing thoughts.
