The Gospel of Jesus Christ is extremely Good News for believers and extremely horrible news for unbelievers.

For the believer, it's the news that we freely received eternal life in paradise, for the unbeliever it the news that they will spend eternity tormented in hell fire.

The gospel is very offensive to everyone, until they are saved, we were all enemies of God and dead in our trespasses when He saved us. none of us ever deserved anything other than condemnation, so that makes the Gospel the best possible news ever.
wrong

the word gospel means simply 'good news'

there is no bad news about the gospel. all the yakkity yak is just you commenting

The term gospel is found ninety-nine times in the New American Standard Bible and ninety-two times in the NET Bible. In the Greek New Testament, gospel is the translation of the Greek noun euangelion (occurring 76 times) “good news,” and the verb euangelizo„ (occurring 54 times), meaning “to bring or announce good news.” Both words are derived from the noun angelos, “messenger.” In classical Greek, an euangelos was one who brought a message of victory or other political or personal news that caused joy. In addition, euangelizomai (the middle voice form of the verb) meant “to speak as a messenger of gladness, to proclaim good news.”Further, the noun euangelion became a technical term for the message of victory, though it was also used for a political or private message that brought joy.

The gospel is the power or authority of God unto salvation.

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

This is in respect to those who "mix faith" the unseen spiritual hid in parables in what they hear coming from the word of God. No mixing faith, no gospel. No gospel.... no eternal sabbath rest

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, "not being mixed with faith" in them that heard it.For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts. For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.Hebrews 4:1-9

There is only one gospel in this dispensation and in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Paul clearly states: 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures..

Yet you said, "the gospel is all the letters in red in your bible and obey what the red letters say, then you will be saved."

That is NOT the gospel, but is a "different" gospel. A "works based" false gospel. Jesus said those who BELIEVE will be saved (John 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26). The gospel is not a set of rituals to perform, a code of laws to be obeyed or a check list of good works to accomplish as a prerequisite for salvation. The gospel sets forth Christ crucified, buried and risen as the Savior of those who BELIEVE trust in His finished work of redemption as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation (Romans 1:16).

You preach a "different" gospel (Galatians 1:6-9) than the one Paul preached (Romans 1:16; Ephesians 3:1-9; 2 Corinthians 4:3,4).

The gospel of the kingdom is not salvation by works, as you teach. Dispensationalists that I've had conversations with understand that there is a distinctive element to the content of the gospel which is called "the mystery of the gospel" (see Ephesians 6:19 and compare with Colossians 1:26-27; 4:3).

*This new revelation that Paul received from Christ (Galatians 1:11-12) is that the Gentiles are fellow-heirs and fellow-members of the body, and fellow-partakers of the promise and such equality, Jew and Gentile united together in one body was previously unknown (Ephesians 3:6). The distinctive message of the church is that Jew and Gentile alike may believe the gospel and be united together into ONE BODY (Ephesians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 12:13). *Where was this preached by Jesus, John the Baptist and the 12 disciples before the cross?

The gospel involves the kingdom of God and Jesus Christ before and after the cross, yet if the gospel of the kingdom (Matthew 4:23; 9:35; Mark 1:14) prior to the cross has the exact same content as the gospel that Paul preached, which came to him through a revelation of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:11-12) and was still a mystery prior to that (Ephesians 3:1-9) then Matthew 10:5-7; 16:21-22; Mark 16:14; Luke 18:31-34; 24:19-24, 44-47, along with Ephesians 3:1-9 is superfluous.

*The distinctive element to the content of the gospel that Paul preached does not change anything about the things concerning the kingdom of God or the Lord Jesus Christ and it also does not mean that distinctive element to the content of the gospel that Paul preached was being preached prior to the cross by the disciples either. Do you understand what a mystery is?

*I asked you to show me anywhere in the 4 gospel accounts where the disciples preached the death, burial and resurrection of Christ BEFORE the cross and that Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel.

*I'm still waiting.
Matthew 10:14
Whoever does not welcome you, nor listen to your message, as you leave that house or city, shake the dust [of it] off your feet [in contempt, breaking all ties].

I THINK I WILL HAVE TO SHAKE THE DUST OF MY MOUSE PAD.

They never preached the death, burial, and resurrection, those were part of the things of ''first importance" (1 cor 15:3) "which concerning the Lord Jesus Christ".

Acts 30:31 preaching the kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ (death, burial, resurrection) with all confidence, no one forbidding him.

OK, I get your calling Jesus a liar, you will pay for that sin in hell unless you repent as the Gospel says you must.

You are one of those Joel Osten stooges who has been blinded by the false gospel of love and prosperity. You are in for a rude shock when you face God, He will not accept ignorance as a valid excuse for your willful sin

oh that's such a nasty reply!

you're scaring the women folk!!!

have you been here before? I haven't said a single word about Osteen or WOF and yet there you go blasting with both hot air tanks

All I did was remind you that the Gospel is good news for the believer and bad news for the unbeliever. And you tried to twist to mean that there's nothing to worry about for the non believer, so according to you that means that Jesus was lying about hell

dude you are getting quite the reputation for berating people and accusing them

I'm done talking to you like Peter Rabbit's mother said...if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all

that's not scripture, but for some reason I am reminded of it when reading one of your posts

you did far more than 'remind' me as you put it

here is what you actually said since it seems you have a convenient memory lapse:

you said I called Jesus a liar, you told me I will pay for that sin in hell unless I repent, said I was in for a rude shock when I faced God and this is actually polite compared to some of the things you have said to others since you introduced yourself as the next pope according to Calvin

whoever you are, you don't have a clue about the things you chastise others about

oh one more thing...your application for prophet of the week is denied because I do not follow the prosperity gospel and have many times reprimanded it in this very forum

this isn't snapchat. your posts with all their nastiness have not disappeared.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is highly offensive, I'm sorry for quoting it. Jesus said remember, they hated me before they hated you

The gospel is not good news for believers exactly...it's good news for the unbelievers...I was an unbeliever and I found it to be VERY good news. Those who are well don't need a physician. Those who are sick are the ones who need a physician.

He came to preach freedom for the captives in chains, to preach healing for the sick. So the good news is not for those who are well. The good news is for those who are sick.

But if a man doesn't KNOW he is poor, captive, sick, blind, lame - he will never seek healing because he thinks he has everything he needs...

A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them.

But what if the servant is evil and begins beating the other servants?

The master will return unannounced and unexpected, and he will cut the servant to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Please explain how good news can be good news to someone who doesn't believe it. Now you are telling me you believe in predestination ;)

I'm a loving servant, if I see a brother in error I will point it out. If I don't than his blood is on my hands

Please explain how you think you can feed the other servants when you don't have a firm grasp on what beating the other servants will bring to you.

You were beating your sister 7seas in post #226 and telling her when the master returns, she'd have to answer to Him. But He will lift her up from where you were grinding her face into the dust and YOU are the one who will have to answer.

You are testifying about yourself. Your testimony is not valid.

Thank you Lord that I am not like these other sinners but instead am a loving servant.

You're a false accuser, I advised her to repent which is sound Biblical advice. There's a big difference between condemning someone and correcting. A wise man will love you for correcting them, a fool will hate you for it

You are terribly blind to your own arrogance. You testify that you are a loving servant. You commend yourself very much.
Then Jesus told this story to some who had great confidence in their own righteousness and scorned everyone else: 10 “Two men went to the Temple to pray. One was a Pharisee, and the other was a despised tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed this prayer[a]: ‘I thank you, God, that I am not like other people—cheaters, sinners, adulterers. I’m certainly not like that tax collector! 12 I fast twice a week, and I give you a tenth of my income.’

13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance and dared not even lift his eyes to heaven as he prayed. Instead, he beat his chest in sorrow, saying, ‘O God, be merciful to me, for I am a sinner.’ 14 I tell you, this sinner, not the Pharisee, returned home justified before God. For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
