I was put in my place once by a woman much younger than I, she suggested before I said something so arrogantly male again, that I should go and read Judges, agian.

It would be great if the men who argue heatedly against female preachers/leaders etc. would instead put that energy into becoming godly men and letting Christ work through them.
The circles I move in, we won't argue with them either. We just tell them to hush and to take their seat. Most of our women agree with us.

I didn't have a dad (or a mom), i didn't have a grandpa. I had no authority growing up. Us kids were left alone, sometimes for weeks. We turned all the lights on at night, and had the doors opened and unlocked, in a bad neighborhood. We would throw the couch cushins on the floor and tried to jump on them without touching the floor while playing tag. We were wild. We ate over a friends house, or cake mix out of the box, plants outside, my brother even ate dog food, stole from the grocery store, whatever we could find. It's amazing we survived by the power of God.

I identified with Pippi Longstocking, who was a child character who had no parents and lived in a house all by herself. And also with Little orphan Annie. How I longed for a dad. When I was in school I asked a couple of male teachers if they'd be my dad. I actually longed for rules, because rules meant "I care about you." I actually do not mind male authority.

When I grew up I saw men become very feminine. Women wore the pants in the family like on Everybody loves Roman. He couldn't even play golf? Seriously? He also didn't do the responsibie stuff like discipline the kids, and the wife had to discipline him? It was a funny show, but in real life I think a lack of male authority or masculinity is a nightmare. Men are leaving their homes and families to get drunk in bars and find women they can live off of.

If an elder of the church corrects me on something, if he is biblically right the first thing I do is thank him, while in my mind I am washing his feet. I show respect to him in order to show respect to God. And I honor, welcome, and am thankful to see that there are still men who are actual men. I have no problem with male authority, I only have a problem with them abusing that position and not leading correctly. When that happens I am no longer anything but a Christian who will take a stand against it.

Men have been like that since the old testament unfortunately, it's not gods will I admit. Sometimes are not up to task. We become feeble minded, lazy, drunk, passive and cowardly. I don't blame women who have had enough. Someone has to take control. If men started to act like men now, it would take decades before things started going correctly.

I had no siblings and a mother that heard voices so I stayed in my room, alone. But to add a new twist to an old saying, sometimes a woman's got to do what a man should have done. I don't play golf either, I ride motorcycles!

Well yeah, if the dad doesn't work to feed the kids, (or leaves) the mom has to. Then the kids are being raised by day cares- which is tragic. There is so much to install in them, and only 18 years in which to do it. I'm sorry you also missed out on proper parenting.

I get annoyed by these woman discussions because of a few reasons.

1. God gave everyone a mouth and voice to speak.

2. How about people start teaching according to the bible and less by tradition.

3. How about teaching the commandments God gave men?

4. And I hate it how alone by having separate accounts or keeping some things apart, people jump to conclusions. There are individual decisions where no one has the right to accuse and judge anyone (especially when its no ones business and/or just a opinion)

Also according to the apocryphal (yes I am opening that can) men and woman were created equal but lilith (first wifeof adam) turned againstout God so God then made eve.which in some translations u can still see where there are two beginnings as they forgot to take out a sentence.

Ok rant over. Im not gonna arguego so dont expect me to reply

I'm not gonna argue over that, did you ever notice in genesis 1 god created man and woman but in 2 he created adam and eve and in between he rested?

I like to wear a hat and it drives me bonkers that I have to take it off to pray, especially as I can't understand why wearing it is so wrong. I know that the Lord looks to the heart and makes righteous judgments. So, even though women being ministers over men is wrong, it is up to the woman to obey; not for her husband to make her obey. Its between her and the Lord, just as it is up to the man to obey by removing the hat to pray. The husband's ministry begins at the home, with his own family as we are called to prefer each other more highly than ourselves. I would also add that even though it is wrong for a woman to exercise authority over the men in the church; each of us are still responsible for the truth given to us, no matter by whom it comes.

I was reading the apocrypha once and came across, "If your wife doesn't obey you, get rid of her." After that, I put it down and never picked it up again!

And what do you think about submissive and silent women who believe that church and family should be patriarchal. And who like it.

Who are not loudly and actively influencing discussion forums, politics or media.

They exist and there is many of them. Catholics, orthodox, many protestants.

Will we ignore them and make this a "man's issue"?

Yes that is true but Adam proved he was not up to the task.
One creation, two people made as one .To represent the father and the Son as two working together in mutual submission to one another . Not just a rib but bone of bone, and flesh of flesh .One breath

Many shy away from the restored government during the time period of the Judges .Because they want to make the flesh of the Son of man to profit for something other than a one time outward demonstration of the unseen work of the Spirit. Christ clearly said he flesh profits for nothing.

Some will say, no one had the Spirit of God until Pentecost in order to make null the time of refomation as if we were still waitng for it .

The time period of the Kings used a parable/figure had come to a end

The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience; Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

As we are informed afterward we are called by the new name God named his born again people Christian a word when defines mean residents of the city of righteousness. (Christ imputed righteousness,) The city as the bride (Revelation 21:2) And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Isaiah 1:26And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

I confess that I don't know what they are saying. However, woman's role is to be the helpmate of the husband (Gen 2.18).

What do you think being a helpmatt means ? When the father and Son worked together in perfect submission and harmony to one another in Isiah 53 was the son considered a helpmate? One being in a greater position did not make him a greater person, did it ?

John 10:30 I and my Father are one.
