Even 1000 other days can not replace GOD's OWN HOLY Sabbath...surely you must see that what is HOLY is different from what is NOT Holy. Afraid christians/gentiles have never been taught the truth ! Lev 10v10.
I am just showing you scripture...the choice to do or not to do is your own !
You're assuming that Sundays are not more holy than Saturdays. Jesus is far holier than sabbaths, and he was raised on a Sunday.

Acts tells us the church at Jerusalem met daily.
The churches Paul taught evidently met on a regular basis.
We are taught in Hebrews that we are not to forsake assembling.

One poster on this forum stated he had not been to church (assembled) for seven years.
How many others on this forum fail to assemble on a regular basis?
How many will admit it?
How do you justify your failure?

I for one assemble as often as possible.
Does it state they met daily in a church?

Those who were leaders in the temple ultimately put a bounty on Christ and his disciples. Do you think they met in temple daily?

They met AS a church.
It is not about a building, it is about gathering together. Where is irrevalent.

We don't even agree with that. That is another RCC myth. Christ was buried just before sunset on a Wednesday right before the high Sabbath (John 19:31). By the time Mary discovered Him risen before sunrise on Sunday, He had risen unseen just before sundown on Saturday for 3 days and 3 nights.

Assemble---to gather together in one place---

We are not in one place, we are scattered all over the world.

So NO, we are not assembled. We are debating on the internet.

No? YOU are "debating" on the internet. That's the problem when someone of the flesh, cannot "see" things that are spiritual.

"If one or two are "gathered" in MY NAME", Jesus said....didn't "see" ANYWHERE a reference of "eyeball to eyeball." "THERE, I will be in the midst of them." Of course, I HAVE been to, and in "eyeball to eyeball" gatherings, where I have heard Jesus say..."Yeah!...I'm HERE!...Doesn't mean I'm AGREEING with the goings on!"

WOW, you have exposed to many of us here your ignorance of Jeshua's ways and days...you ARE a very real TROLL, worse really...
and yet, we both have made exception for you in certain times because of Christ's Love, but, NOT any more...

Christ always draws His line, and those of us who serve Him must obey His way and speak His Truth././
no matter the cost...

You do know that there is holy and most holy, don't you? I've never read that the weekly sabbath is most holy, but everything about Christ is most holy.

I forgive your ignorant comments about me.

Well, there was no internet when we were commanded to assemble.
The only assembling at that time was person to person, face to face.
Just because I disagree with you does not make me "of the flesh".
I probably have a better understanding of things that are spiritual than you do.

He can't have been raised on the sabbath because the feast of firstfruits (Leviticus 23:10-11) occurs the day after the sabbath. He is the firstfruits from the dead that fulfilled that type. He had to be raised on that day.

Amazing how many excuses have been offered to justify just not doing what is commanded.

Do I have two people on the line? Just curious. A little garbled message there.

As long as people grow in their faith and do the works of GOD (believe, love others), that's all that matters.
So why are we commanded to assemble? By who's authority do you pick and choose what commands to follow and to ignore?

Allow me to ask you a question. How many times does one NEED to "assemble" to satisfy the "command" to assemble? Once, in a lifetime? Twice, in a lifetime? Once, a month? Twice a year? How many?

Is it "really" YOUR call?

Stupid question.
You are just trying to justify disobeying what the Bible teaches.

The church at Jerusalem met daily.
The churches that Paul taught met on a regular basis.
It seems that the example is to meet on a regular basis, as often as possible.
Meeting on a regular basis is one of the easiest commands to follow.
Why do you ignore the command.

I'm all for assembling, don't get me wrong. But consider what we have these days compared to them.

Many of them were uneducated, illiterate, and had to receive their knowledge of Christ orally. Bibles were very expensive. So everyone had to meet together to be instructed in the faith.

Nowadays most everyone in modern countries is literate, educated, has bibles that they can study on their own, and can communicate instantly with just about anyone in the world. It's really incredible what we have.

No, that was the first ascension pictured in the wave sheath. as per the following:
Three days and three nights raises Him on Saturday evening. He had already risen unseen by early Sunday. Jesus was talking with Mary saying he had not ascended to His Father yet:

John 20:16-18: “Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God. Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.”

John 20:19: “Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.”

Later that same day He appeared to His disciples and they could touch Him. That is when He told Thomas to touch His wounds and then He ate with them. So, we can say for sure the ascension was on Sunday. We are given a picture of His ascension as the wave sheath day: [look up wave sheath day for yourself] when the first fruits were waved before God as a tribute. This was always done on the first Sunday after Passover.

Sorry, did you mean to say fellowship does have to be at a church? Or is that first part that conflicts with the second in your post a typo? Missing the word, not. as in, "fellowship does not have to be at a church."

Yep. Jesus said wherever two or three are gathered in his name there is he also. He didn't say, wherever two or three are gathered in church.

The body of the church are all believers in Christ. The Greek word, Ekklesia meant called out ones, the assembly.
Ephesians 1:22-23 “And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.”
Right. So instead of Church the bible should say ekklesia. There are two many bodies, all over the earth. Too many different doctrines. Is Christ divided?
