Are we to sin more that grace may abound? Paul declares, "God forbid!."

Since I am not allowed to say law, I will simply use the word, sin, which is breaking the law.

Like all others, when I turned from this age and its morays,I came to God and His Ways, knowing
finally that He is right and perfect, and not we of this age.

We received mercy and grace with the faith given us in Jesus Christ.

We are to learn of Jesus Christ and obey Him, even imitate Him

Why, when we teach not to sin are we called and dubbed as "under the law." Talk about perverting the Gospel.

Of course none are saved by doing anything, yet those who say obedience is being under the law are indeed teaching to sin more so grace may abound. This is of the enemy for our obedience is not a gift to our Father nor does it make us saved.......only the Blood of Jesus Christ saves any, but.........obedience is our due (duty), not a gift.

After receiving the indwelling of the Holy Spirit we indeed have the truth and the law written in our inward parts, gone from those tablets of stone to the tablets of flesh of our hearts.

Any here saying the over 600 laws put down in writing by Moses are extant, in effect, knows nothing of the Word, Jesus. If these people knew Him they would be able to read all of the law without compunction and know immediately which laws are completed already by Jesus having come the first time.

He is yet fulfilling thee law in all of us, if you understand what He teaches.

Do not teach all law is no more for this is just darkness and not light.. Do you believe sin as a way of living is fine because you are saved by grace? Think again, we are freed o sin by Jesus Christ, therefore we are seen always as innocent......obedience does not save us but it is our due..

Believe on the Son of God and you will be saved.

Jesus knows our individual weakness. He endured them, each and every one just for you and for me. Believe this.

Ask always to beclothehd in His righteousness, not your own for no man other has such.

Let your pride be God always. Praise Him, thank Him, always.

When we falter, and we all do, He is there to mediate for us so that we are always seen as innocent because of His Blood, and the gift of fiath the Father gave us to nurture and grow.

You will never be perfect nor I, until God finishes teh work He began in us, and that work is perfecting us, for it is written that God is perfect therefor we shall be perfect. This is not just a command, it is a promise, and only God is effecting this work of perfection in us.

Now while He is doing all of this work, it is our due to obey Him as best we are given to do, knowing where we fail, He perfects.......this is hard, very hard, but we must thank Him for all things, even our failures because the faith He gives us tells us God is perfecting us...just because of our failures.

I am old, and I am still learning this, and I know how difficult it is for all. Learning to relay on being clothed in the righteousness of Jesus Christ is the victory, so know you are so clad, and not doing it except for your due, obedience to the teachingofthe Good News from Him, amen.

That's right, a true believer doesn't believe sin is a way of living. He continues to sin every day but fights against it every day until he dies. We have the forgiveness of our past, present and future sins in Christ but we don't have the power to stop sinning altogether until we receive our glorified bodies after death.

So believers don't sin as a way of life, we sin because we don't have the power to completely stop. Jesus is the only One who has that power, He helps us to fight against our corrupt flesh during our life but we don't get the victory over it until we die.

As it turns out this morning, here in Spain, I have already had the opportunity to witness our Savior to another who mentioned my being represented by others. The response was easy, my only Representative is Jesus Christ to our Father, there can be no other.

Thank you for your insightful comment. It sounds like someone who knows, amen.

Why sin more?
John 5:14 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 Afterward Jesus found him in the temple, and said to him, “See, you have been made well. Sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”

You must be perfect.

Matthew 5:48 NKJV Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

What is perfection in the Bible?

James 3:2 New King James Version (NKJV)

2 For we all stumble in many things. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle the whole body.

For example when God says that you shall not commit adultery

Even you found that a woman is prettier than your wife then you will not flirt or have extramarital affairs to satisfy the lust of your flesh.

if you are a perfect man it means you are a self controlled man.

meaning you are not temperamental; you are not glutton; you are not talkative etc. all the works of the flesh mentioned in Galatians 5:19-21.

To imitate Jesus is really hard.
Do you know why it is so hard ? because people try to do it from where they are standing INSTEAD of from the bottom/foundation UP !
Most of us - sad to say - are already indoctrinated with FALSE beliefs that have taken deep roots and are near-impossible to tear out. Only with Yashua's help can it be done and that means FIRST dying to self, then totally SUBMITTING to HIM - DOING what He says !
Problem is people have a FEAR of giving up what they have been taught to believe....it can take a long time...and when it comes to taking a U-turn some never do.
Christianity is at a disadvantage when it comes to JESUS whom they don't really know....not having been brought up with Him frm birth. The jesus we know was falsly presented to mankind from a sunday-resurrection by the RCC and is NOT the true JESUS of the Bible/our Saviour. HE had warned us of false christs and false teachers who would deceive the MANY/christianity Mat 24.
Christians have had a wrong start and need to get back to the roots who are the LIFE-SUPPORT. Rom 11.

What steps do I take to become like Jesus

Learn to WALK WITH Jesus/Yashua as HIS Disciple 24/7. If you do you will not fail ! You will get a lot of 'stick and stones' but you will succeed !

It is almost comical the manner in which I began, not what came from God to me, what I thought I should do at the time.

Praise Yeshua, I got through that and He led me through the beginning wonderfully.

Wait on the Lord for your faith is a gift from the Father thtt will take you completely to Jesus, He will yes, amen.

You have taken many verses out of their intended context.

When Jesus says 'go and sin no more" He knows that person will go and sin until they die, but He knows if they believe in Him they are not going to present their member as instruments of sin.

The converted person does not willingly give his mind or his body to indulge in sin, he will fight to the death to resists sin. Does that mean that he will win every battle over temptation? of' course not. That's why Jesus paid for our past present and future sins.

All we need to do is repent after we have sinned and He is faithful to keep forgiving us not 70x7 but His mercy is unlimited to His elect people.

Some folks accuse true Christians of deliberately sinning because they know they will be forgiven for all of their sins, but that's not true of real Christians but it is true of false Christians. A true Christian is a warrior, he puts on the whole Armour of God every morning before he goes into battle against the enemy (which is our flesh and Satan)

The only time we stop sinning is when we receive our glorified body, after death. We don't enjoy sinning as the false professors do, we mourn over our sins. They are a thorn in our flesh.

It is certain all the people to whom Jesus spoke those words, "Sin no more," understood the cross and its significance for themselves immediately. How can we be the Lamb of god, and, how could those peopel be?

It is clear He was teaching them they needed His Sacrifice to be counted as sinning no more.
Taking from Paul, should we sin more so His sacrifice means more? God forbid, we should obey Him as best He gives us to be able.......He is the Salvation of our souls not us, but we should not live in sin anymore but be tehchildren of Light He has made us, and strive to please Jesus in every way, dear Jesus, everlasting Father, amen.

To my knowledge, no one on this forum has ever said they "believe sin as a way of living is fine because you are saved by grace".
If you have seen this posted, please show us where and who.
I have never said that because I do not believe that.
With that said, I do from time to time sin because I still live in a fleshly body.
Not proud of it. Ashamed to admit it. But fact is fact.
When the Holy Spirit convicts me, I repent, ask forgiveness, and my Father forgives.
Then I move on.
Here is the problem with many. Some believe they live without sin. Some believe to sin is to lose salvation. Some believe one must keep the Law to be saved or to remain saved. Some actually believe they do or can keep the Law.

No one have ever kept the Law except Jesus. YOU cannot keep the Law. To break one single ordinance of the Law is to break the Law.

Should a child of God strive to live a holy life, of course they should. If any one has ever said differently, please point out that person and their post.

Stop trying to make every one who disagrees with you and your insistence on keeping the Law as some one who believes living in sin is ok.
Just not true.

No one has to say it outright but you will find the tendency is promoted by OSAS....

All who say teh law is abolished and has no power over them are deceived and passing on deception.

Jesus Christ teaches us,Himself, exactly how the law is since He gave us salvation and the Good News.

No proof, just your assumption.
And no, it is not promoted by those who believe OSAS.
To say so is a lie and lying is breaking the Law.

What is holiness? How does one define it?

Rom. 7:12, 13 "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful."

If not the law, what is the standard for holiness?
