FLAT EARTH

so, I would think it's satire but unfortunately it's not.

Well it says just that let there be lights, aka more than one, if there was no stars aka other Suns Galaxies etc. the universe would be completely dark, so at night you see those lights. The moon gives off no light by itself, the same light that is seen on the moon is actually the reflection of sunlight. the greater light the sun. The lesser light rules the night the core always incased in darkness.

Of coarse the ancient folks had no idea what it was though they wrote what they heard down not that they completely understood what was being said but simply obeyed and wrote it the best they could which by the way was quite fitting nothing forced upon two plates to choose as the understanding of those shining objects in our night sky advanced through human time as humans understand it.

IF salvation comes out of flat earth, I would LOVE that explained... What does a flat Earth have to do with salvation?

Cause yeah, of course the earth is flat and pigs can fly too...I know because I had a pig that fell off the edge of the earth, but it was all good cause he just flew back up....LOL

It has nothing to do with salvation or anything else really except maybe Mental Health issues

I don't know who flat Earth person is, before my time here. Yea, this thread went loopy soon after it's start. I think that person has gone from here. Flat Earth has nothing to do with salvation except that maybe if some folks are unstable enough to take flat-Earth seriously, and discount all the proof of a globe world, they may not take Jesus seriously either.

That brings up a great question... If that person is gone (I don't think he is) others believe in a flat Earth, are they mentally ill because they believe in a conspiracy? What about believing in a round Earth but also believing in other conspierinces? Can the "mentally ill"believe in Y-shua? I believe Creation in 7 literal days and there for humans walked with dinosaurs.... People love to tell me I'm crazy!...lol....

Here is something that just completely blows Flat Earth out of the water, and this is completely observable to everyone on the face of the Earth. The Earth casts a shadow on the moon, we know this because we can see it on certain nights when the sky is clear and the moon is visible. We can also see that during certain phases, whether it be waning or waxing, the shadow appears to have a curve to it. This is huge, because one, if the Earth were completely flat as they claim, then there would be no sunset, hence, the Earth could not cast a shadow on the moon, because the moon would be continuously full and lit by the sun, since nothing would be in the way to block or cast a shadow, and two, in order for there to be a shadow cast, supposing the Earth is flat, the sun would have to go down the underside of the Earth, with the moon on top, visible to us. That doesn't happen, because we also observe that on some days when the sun is out, the moon is nowhere visible.

Also, if the Earth were flat, even if the sun somehow managed to cast a shadow of Earth on the moon, it would appear thin or straight. But on a spherical object, no matter at what angle you shine a light on it, behind the sphere, the shadow ALWAYS has a curve to it. That is something you can even test for yourself. Take a tennis ball and flash light, and shine a light on the ball at a white wall, at any angle, and you'll see a round shadow, the same thing we observe with Earth's shadow on the moon. It's not a matter of perception, it's a matter of the Earth having curve to it, and the sun sets and shines from the other side of the world.

Everytime I try to present this to someone who believes in Flat Earth, even some who "claim" to be Christian, I usually get an insult thrown my way or I get tuned out, but I have noticed, that once I say I believe in Flat Earth, they are completely welcoming and throw SO many different models and ideas about the Flat Earth out there. Biggest part of me thinks Flat Earth might be a deceiving cult, and an attention grabbing scheme.

Um....that's perspective...but it's already been proven it has absolutely nothing to do with Earth's spherical shape. Try again

one would question: shouln't we find it a bit strange that planets, are round, stars like sun is round yet earth is the only one that's flat, like why make earth flat while others round

this is very strange, unless of course, the earth is round just like all other celestial creations of God

imagine an arc, how keep bisecting it and magnify it, the arc becomes straighter and straighter, the bigger the curvature, the more it looks flat, from the perspective of any eyeballs that's far smaller than the size of the earth
