Hi! Emelia 😊

Most parents...when they are angry and shouting at you that means they are really upset about something...if you did something and you made them angry the best way is to apologize to your parents take the responsibility for your actions and don't make excuses... if you didn't do anything wrong...then explain to your parents everything with respect...don't raise your voice...even if they are shouting don't shout back because it will only make them angrier and will make the situation worse...if your parents are still mad... just politely leave maybe tell them dad and mom please let us talk about this in a few more minutes...go to the kitchen pour a glass of water or juice and give it to your dad/mom 😊 Then after a few more minutes go to them and let them speak and listen...

I want to share a verse in the bible with you Emelia :)

Exodus 20:12
“Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

God bless you ❤

I always say this
Respect them for being called by God to be your parents and for making you who you are.that doesn't mean you have to blindly obey them or be their doormat. But respect them for who and what they are.
They keep a roof over your head, your clothes on your back, food in your stomach and your room warm. That's a privilege

Pray often; without ceasing. Devote our lives to GOD through Christ. And thereby loving service to others; including our parents.

Always remember this in your heart in order not to fail always respecting your parents:

Ephesians 6:2-3 New King James Version (NKJV)

2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with promise: 3 “that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth.”

This will happen if you disobey or dishonored your parents ( In fact we have a religious leader in my country not only dishonoring his parents but also threatening the life of his mother and siblings )

Proverbs 19:26 New King James Version (NKJV)

26 He who mistreats his father and chases away his mother Is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.

uhm respect doesnt mean blind obedience. plus dont forget what Jesus said
Matthew 10:34 and on
34Do not assume that I have come to bring peace to the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35For I have come to turn ‘A man against hisfather, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36A man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’…

It’s good of you to reach out here, Emelia. I can understand that relationships with parents can be difficult at times, especially during all the change and transition of the teen years. I encourage you to be patient and forgiving as you commit this matter to the Lord in prayer. You can be certain that God knows and cares about every detail of your life. A great book on this subject is How to Live With Your Parents Without Losing Your Mind. Know that I’m praying for you, too. Hugs!
