Hi there, that's wonderful to hear. And God is faithful to reveal Him unto you. I love scripture John 17:3 And this is life eternal that thee, may know Him the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou has sent.

Hello, Paige.

If you haven't done so already...
You can start by being kind, compassionate, giving, caring, and loving toward others and God's grace will embrace you.

Read the word of God every day. My favorites are the Psalms, Proverbs, and teachings of Jesus throughout the New Testament.

God is with you all the time, but you will start to actually feel God inside your heart. It is so awesome! That is God's presence making Himself aware to you. It is like a little candle burning in your heart, filled with warmth and love.

Seeking God at a young age is a good sign that you are already on a great personal journey in knowing Him.

May God bless you beyond all measure.

Hi Paige, Praise God at this young age you have a desire to know and follow your Creator. That in itself is a blessing. If you sincerely seek Him you will find Him. I am sure there are many young people who will be able to help you in CC. Dont let go of your desire to love God and know Him more. Continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. A good place to start is to read from the Gospel according to St. John. Will pray for you when I remember. Blessings and stay well.

Hi Paige, welcome to CC :)

I agree with dpdaniel (as far as reading the Bible is concerned), start with the Gospel of John in the New Testament. And if you have questions as you go along (and you will ;)), just come back here and ask them, and we'll do our best to answer them for you.

The opening verses of John's Gospel say this:

.........John 1
.........1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
.........2 He was in the beginning with God.
.........3 All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being.
.........4 In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men.

.........14 And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father,
.........full of grace and truth.

Just so you'll know, Jesus Christ is the One who is referred to as the "Word" in this passage from the first Chapter of John's Gospel.

God bless you!

~Deut
p.s. - there are places online where you can read and/or listen to the Bible for free (and I would recommend reading a modern translation like the NIV, at least for now. For instance:

Read the Bible: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John+1&version=NIVUK

Listen to the Bible: https://www.biblegateway.com/audio/dramatized/niv/John.1

Hello Paige, I can only agree with dpdaniel. Someone your age desiring to know more about our savior Jesus is great. the more you read, study and pray the more you will learn. but Jesus mostly wants to have a relationship with you. People here can offer a lot encouragement and advice. people like dpdaniel. GOD bless you and never give up on your desire to learn. And have fun, hope to see you around

Hi again @SydGurl14, MrH59 just made me realize that part of what I said in my post to you above (#12), could be misconstrued (thanks MrH :)). So just for clarity's sake, I agree with dpdaniel's post 'in general', not simply his choice of the Gospel of John as the best place to begin reading the Bible.

Praying for you!

~Deut
p.s. - here is one of my very favorite passages from the Old Testament. It's actually a "prophesy" concerning the coming Savior, the Word of God, Jesus Christ. Perhaps you've heard it before at a Christmas celebration (or if you've ever listened to Handle's Messiah perhaps)?

.........Isaiah 9
.........6 For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given:
.........And the government shall be upon His shoulder:
.........And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God,
.........The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
.........7 Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end,
.........Upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom,
.........To order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice
.........From henceforth even for ever.

.........The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
