There are so many prideful people who want others to be under the same bondage they live under. God has been fighting that battle for 2000 years and I guess will until Jesus return.
It’s pretty sad.
We are not full of pride because we want to do what Jesus asked us to do. If you feel like you are under bondage to live the gospel of Jesus Christ to its fullest, then maybe you have not been saved yet.

All that is required to be saved, is simply to have faith in and believe on Jesus, and acknowledge that He is your Lord and Savior and that He died for your sins. :)

GOOD WORKS DO NOT SAVE YOU. Nor will they get you into heaven, or keep or maintain your salvation.

Hi E-g, thank you for these words, legalism robs us of the joy of our salvation. Let us not go backwards into law instead of freedom, Christ set us free from the law. The letter of the law kills but the Spirit gives life;

Luke 11:42
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.

God bless!
The law of Moses says that if you actually go to bed with another woman and have actual sex with her, you have committed adultery.
The law of Christ says that if you simply look upon a woman with lust, you have committed adultery.

Much easier to commit adultery in the law of Christ than in the law of Moses. Is that freedom and liberty or is it a larger millstone around your neck, or is it a higher principle that we take upon ourselves as followers of Jesus?

That lawn you mowed for your disabled neighbor-- it won't save you. That money you sent to charity, it won't save you. The meal you served at a soup kitchen, NOPE, that won't save you either..

Good works do not save us. Faith, belief and God's grace DO. :)

Clearly you do not understand the cross and grace.

The merits of our works will never save us in the KOG. Only the merits of Jesus' works will save us.

However, if Jesus tells us to do something, we better do it, right?
If we do it in order to be saved, we saved ourself, jesus did not save us,

Why is his hard for you to understand?

I am a Christian and believe in the victory and freedom of Christ as much as you do. It is not misery to live like Jesus tells us to live. If it is for you, you really have not been saved.
Jesus and His grace are what are the source of the victory, so if we struggle we may indeed be saved, yet one may be trying to complete by the flesh what is a spiritual.

So I somewhat disagree a saved person can feel very miserable.

We know God is love.
We know God created man in his own image.

2+2 = 4

4 = relationship

Romans 8:15-17 (NKJV)
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Jesus did not die on the cross in order to leave us a load of commands we need to keep in order to be loved and saved.

He died on the cross because he loved us so that through him via faith we are saved and reconciled to the Father.

ABBA FATHER.
He seeks relationship with us.
As grow on that we will do everything to please him, because he AGAPE'S us and we want to do the same.

We want to be like him to those around us as he has asked us to be.

We do this out of love for our Father and those he puts on our way.

If we do things to be loved our be saved that is not relationship.

It's robotic.

Our Father wants kids
Talk about robotic:

God chooses you (and doesn't choose others) and brings you to Christ.
God inputs into you faith in Jesus.
God inputs into you love.
God inputs into you trust.
God inputs into you righteousness.
God inputs into you grace.
God unputs into you EL.

You have nothing to do with anything, but you were chosen and get a free gift of EL, is that how it works for you?

yet if the Law used properly it is love:

Mat 7:12-14, "Therefore, all things you want men to do to you, do the same to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Enter in through the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many are those who go that way. Because straight is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life, and few there are who find it."

1 John 5:2-3, "By this we know that we love the children of Yah, when we love Yah and guard His commands. For this is the love for Yah, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy."

those heart intentions are a big factor...

Jeremiah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl: After those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law (Torah/Instructions) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”

The first desire of God is for us to have a relationship with Him. Thus, He prepared a way that we can do that; His free gift offer of eternal salvation. Once we accept that free gift, our relationship with Him is eternally established.

The next desire is that He wants constant "fellowship" with Him and He provides a way for that as well; His Word, prayer, meditation, worship time, praise time.

This is how I see the whole thing.

I do it because Jesus told me to do it. Whether that saves me or not is not the point.

For instance, if Jesus tells you to do something and you have thoughts that, if I do that I will be saving myself, so I will not do it, and Jesus will continue to get all the credit. Are you going to be OK, even though you ignored what Jesus told you to do?

Yes it is the point, if your doing ot to be saved, your trying to save yourselfand your works are a duty not done out of love but out of self righteousness

If ypur doing it out if respect and gratitude because god completely saved you, then your doing it out of love and respect.

For instance, if Jesus tells you to do something and you have thoughts that, if I do that I will be saving myself, so I will not do it, and Jesus will continue to get all the credit. Are you going to be OK, even though you ignored what Jesus told you to do?
I do not think of trying to do anything to save myself, i tepented of that decades ago because i realised no matter how good i strived to be or how many commands i spent my life trying to obey, it still would not be enough. Thats why i needed christ to begin with

Whe. Jesus tells me to do something, i trust he knows whats best, and if i do not do it, i will suffer, plus be chastened, plus not produce fruit and glorify god,

If i decide to do it, it is not because of some legalistic mumbo jumbo like your trying to pass on here, its because my flesh desires to do it. And i let my flesh win that battle, nothing more, nothing less

My my my.
You could not help yourself could you?
You turned my post around in order to attack me and what I believe

Where on earth and why on earth did you post the above given my post?

I just talked about relationship and love.
With God and others.
And how that love following through.

And yes God does not want robots for children.

He gives we receive, we receive we give.
Your response above has nothing to do with my post but you use it as an attack against ES WHICH I did not talk about.

Shame on you BH

If He writes His Law in the hearts of His people, how can anyone who claims to be His not say the Law is right and to be followed?

Jeremiah 31:33, "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israyl: After those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law (Torah/Instructions) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts, and I will be their Strength, and they will be My people."

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”

Psalm 19:7-11, “The Torah of יהוה is perfect, bringing back the being; The witness of יהוה is trustworthy, making wise the simple; The orders of יהוה are straight, rejoicing the heart; The command of יהוה is clear, enlightening the eyes; The fear of יהוה is clean, standing forever; The right-rulings of יהוה are true, They are righteous altogether, More desirable than gold, Than much fine gold; And sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. Also, Your servant is warned by them, In guarding them there is great reward.”

Does that differ from what I'm saying?
That is what I was trying to convey.
If it did not come across like that then please let me know.

I trust you enough to correct me.

Really?

You push it, if you don't do what Jesus told you to then you are not saved. That's what you preach, but it's not applicable to you because you feel you have a second chance when you stand before Jesus, yet others do not.

19Go ye therefore, and TEACH ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

OUR LORD JESUS BEFORE GOING BACK TO THE FATHER INSTRUCTED HIS DISCIPLES TO TEACH OBEDIENCE UNTO ALL NATIONS.

IF ANYONE WOULD TEACH THAT OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD, TEACHINGS, LAWS AND COMMANDS, IS NOT NECESSARY OR PART OF SALVATION, DOES HE NOT TEACH CONTRARY TO THE LORD’S TEACHINGS?

WHEN THE LORD SAID THAT “IF YOU WANT TO ENTER LIFE, OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS”, AND SOMEONE ELSE WOULD SAY THAT OBEDIENCE TO GOD WILL NOT SAVE ANYONE BECAUSE “FAITH ALONE SAVES”. IS IT NOT A CLEAR REJECTION, NULLIFICATION, DISRESPECT, DISOBEDIENCE, UNBELIEF AND MOCKERY OF GOD’S WORD?

15Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. 16They profess that they know God; BUT IN WORKS THEY DENY HIM, being ABOMINABLE, and DISOBEDIENT and unto every good work REPROBATE.

4For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, TURNING THE GRACE OF OUR GOD INTO (A LICENSE FOR) LASCIVIOUSNESS, and DENYING the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

...Teaching for doctrines the commandments of men….Full well ye reject the commandment of God... making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.(mark 7:6-13)

...because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.(isaiah 5:20-24)

...Be not deceived; GÒD IS NOT MOCKED: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. 10As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.(galatians 6:7-10)

32who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are WORTHY OF DEATH, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things COMETH THE WRATH OF .GOD ÙPON THE CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE

MAN GOT SEPARATED FROM GOD BECAUSE OF THE SIN OF DISOBEDIENCE WHEN MAN WAS DECEIVED BY THE SERPENT WHO SAID THAT “...Ye shall not surely die.”(genesis 3:4)

DÈCEIVERS OF THIS AGE SAYS THE SAME THING;

“YE SHALL NOT SURELY DIE (PERIßH / BE CONDEMNED). ONCE YOU'RE SAVED, YOU ARE ALWAYS ßAVED. JUST HAVE FAITH VOID OF WORKS (OF RIGHTEOUSNESS / ÒBEDIENCE) AND YOU WILL POSSESS ETERNAL LIFE THE MOMENT YOU BELIEVE.

IS IT NOT APPOINTED FOR MEN TO DIE ONCE AND FACE JUDGMENT AFTER? (hebrews 9:27-28)

11And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12And I saw THE DEAD, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And WHOSOEVER WAS NOT FOÙND WRITTEN IN THE BOOK OF LIFE WAS CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.

“FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD”

JESUS HAS NOT FOUND YOUR WORKS COMPLETE IN THE SIGHT OF GOD. REMEMBER THEREFORE WHÀT YOU HEARD AND RECEIVED. OBEY IT, AND REPENT.(revelations 3:1-6)

47And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. 48HE THAT REJECTETH ME, and RECEIVETH NOT MY WORDS, hath one that judgeth him: THE WORD THAT I HAVE SPOKEN, THE SAME SHALL. JUDGE HIM IN THE LAST DAY. 49For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. 50And I KNOW THAT HIS COMMANDMENT IS LIFE EVERLASTING: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
