I'm not JW or Oneness Pentecostal. I just do my own homework and find the Trinity a bunch of foolishness.
The trinity is right inline with pretribulationism. Full of fabrication and contradiction. They are both "from the other side."
Humm I did my own home work too . The Trinity is the only explanation for what Christ said of himself and what the OT said of the coming Messiah . Invest in some good Hebrew lexicons and Greek as well.
It’s not too hard . To give you some background I was not raised in a Christian home I had no idea what the word was until I did some research, not into doctrine but into what words mean.
Also what’s up with pretribulationism I never brought it up?

the righteous run to it and are safe.


Language intended to modify the behavior of others doesn't reliably modify their behavior as intended. Tomorrow, I will visit three churches. One of them will be St. Jude. I'd like to judge for myself who or what it is the attendees venerate. :D

Is it possible that religion through an unknown process produce more evil than good. I am just saying that because of all the scandals that have recently come out especially sexual scandals. These are not a few people but large scale organized rapes! For example, it looks like every catholic priest is an abuser and all bishops approved that (may be even the pope). When I see that I am ashamed to be a christian. Why does something that is supposed to make us good, produce so much evil?
Religion is not evil, false religion is evil- which the Catholic church is. They are not Christ's church, and therefore they nor their behavior are connected with Christ.

This is what God accepts as true religion- to take care of widows and orphans in their distress. To help the poor and feed the hungry. To keep one self from being corrupted by this depraved and crooked generation.

Religion is not evil, false religion is evil- which the Catholic church is.

The last time I walked the grounds of the Catholic church, being granted an audience, I was quite abrasive. I yelled (paraphrased), "I smell fecal matter!" That was almost a year ago. Despite that, I'm impelled to return, rather than to wave a banner in either direction. The One that sends me will tell me in what direction it should wave.

So if those who commit sin are of the devil, and Jesus said that whosoever commits sin is of their father the devil who abode not in the truth from the beginning, then how does those who are evil know how to give good gifts?

The Catholics gave the whole world lessons on idolatry, and they continue to do so daily.

I look at pre-trib the same way as the Trinity and Preterism. They are all big blunders of interpretation.

I've been using the lexicons since the early 70's. The Trinity doctrine is why I backed out of the ministry. It's a terrible way of describing God or Jesus Christ.

I go to a predominately Trinitarian church. They know I'm non-trinitarian. I'm a Congregationalist!
Christians are hateful towards non-trinitarians. Most of them have no clue what the doctrine actually teaches!

Jesus said the father is greater, I believe him!

Where did I bash Catholics? I actually love my old Catholic Church! I'm just bashing Trinitarianism! I'd rather call myself a Catholic any day than a Calvinist! My entire family is Catholic, and members of my family who were priest, and a good friend who is one. The only problem I have with Catholics is the same as every other misled Trinitarian Church. They are violently hateful toward non-trinitarian's!

Would this verse not cover a figure, or a statue of a female person like Mary ?

Idolatry is just as common today as it was in the Stone Age. Of course, the materials,
technologies, trends and fashions are much different than they were then.

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me,” God continued (Exodus 20:1-3).
That word before means “in place of.” God must have first place in our lives
—always; without exception. This First Commandment forbids man from placing
anyone or anything in front of God. It forbids idolatry.

“Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is
in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a
jealous God …”

This commandment obviously forbids the use of any physical substitutes or aids man sets
up in order to “worship” God. But what about the spiritual idols we set up in our hearts,
as it says in Ezekiel 14:3? We may not bow down to any physical idols made of stone,
wood or precious metal, but our modern world is filled with idolatry, just the same!

For us, it may be an inordinate love of self—or vanity—as it was with Lucifer. His heart
was lifted up because of his own beauty—so much so that he wanted to raise his earthly
throne above his own Creator’s (Ezekiel 28:17; Isaiah 14:13).

Maybe it’s pursuing the physical beauty of others that we place in front of God. Just look
at how our Western culture glamorizes beauty, among women especially—as if good looks
and a youthful appearance are all that matters. It seems the reverential treatment of
celebrity icons has reached near-saturation point in society today.

Perhaps it’s physical wealth and materialism that prevents us from putting God first, like
the young man who told Jesus he had obeyed all of God’s commandments since the days
of his youth. But when Jesus told him to give up his earthly possessions, he went away
sorrowful because his heart was so attached to material things.

Some make an idol out of gluttony, drunkenness and other such addictions. Instead of looking
to God in time of need, they turn to physical substances in order to cope or to escape.

Still others insist on putting friends or family members ahead of God. They would rather
give God second or third place in their lives than face alienation from loved ones over
their obedience to God’s laws.

Whatever it is, if we place it ahead of God and living according to His laws, it becomes a
false god! If it interferes with our relationship with God, the Bible says, then it becomes
an idol—and it must be crushed!


“Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry,” Paul wrote to the brethren at Corinth,
well over a thousand years after Israel had come out of Egyptian captivity. He knew well
that the idolatry command was not meant for some bygone age. It was written for us.
Like the rest of the Ten Commandments, it applies to our time today!

Keep yourselves from idols, as John wrote to conclude his first epistle. Give God first place
in your life. Make your relationship with Him more important than anyone or anything else.

Nothing in this material life, after all, is as important as that.

The media is at war with the Catholic Church, that's easy to prove. Satan controls most of the media; that too is easy to prove. Don't jump on his bandwagon.
The media are not the enemies of the people or at war with the Catholic church. They are reporting evil doing like it or not. Here is an excellent article from today news that discuss both sides. This is clearly a moral catastrophe for the catholic organization and this is still going on. I guess you are a catholic which would explain your bias opinion.

The Catholic's have their problems with sexual abuse. The Protestant's are in the same boat but not as bad. They both have offensive sides. I have never been to a Catholic church that bashed others in the faith. I've been to several Protestant Churches that do. The Calvinist and Fundamentalist are the worse and most offensive of them all.

Amen! James 1:26 - If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless. This man's religion is vain, empty, devoid of power, lacking in content, nonproductive, dead and of no eternal value.

James 1:27 - Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. There is absolutely nothing wrong with "pure and undefiled religion" but there is certainly something wrong with impure and defiled religion.

Amen................all three can be found as one throughout the whole bible....and even creation itself is FULL of testimony concerning three in one....their "dualistic" god is not found in the bible.....

Anen brother! I noticed that prove-all said, - “the bible says the Holy Spirit is the very power of God, not another person.”

That is the same erroneous argument that I heard from a man who lives on my mail route and attends the Worldwide church of God (Armstrongism) which would explain why he denies that the Holy Spirit is God. That man on my mail route is also obsessed with the Saturday Sabbath and so is prove-all. :unsure:

if you ever visit a mega-church that has 3 or 4 services each week ((repeating the same message a number of times to accommodate the large number of people)), it may be interesting to go to all of them in a row. see if the pastor cries at the same point in each one & the same people on stage go into the same emotional fits at the same points. :D
