Hey guys!!! Sorry about my unexpected hiatus...I just kinda dropped out of CC after there was nothing really left to type about...but, now I’m back, and I promise that I will keep posting whenever I can!

Now, about the title...yeah, sorry...that wasn’t clickbait :/

Butbutbut...before a few certain people here get their torches and pitchforks out...lemme explain.

I have become agnostic for now, NOT because I have any issue with the lessons that the Bible teaches, or have anything else against the religion. This is just me taking a step back for the time being, mostly due to me recently having a bit of an epiphany that there are infinite possibilities out there. Christianity, while it DOES definitely have some things right, is only one of these endless possible truths out there, whether I liked it or not.

HOWEVER, and I feel that this is important to add, I still have an open mind about this. I might return to Christianity...if I feel that it is ACTUALLY the right path. However, this is for me alone to find out, so please don’t dump your bible quotes or lectures of hell on me. This won’t help your case, as I won’t respond to those.

Also, at the end of the day, I still am the same as I have always been. I did not “go to the dark side” or anything like that. You can still find me joking around in the Singles and Miscellaneous forums, like I usually do.

Welp, I sense the flurry of negative reactions and angry comments coming my way. But in this case, it’s better to come clean about it.

Ok, now that THAT’S over...here’s a free orange kitty. Cheers!

 The tiny trust kitty is precious. The quotes too. I like you. I'm new so I don't know who you are before now but I'm impressed.
Welcome back to your old haunt. One thing about the one and only God. He believes in us even when we have trouble believing in him.
Maybe you're following where he leads and sort of like the prodigal. Just don't fight pigs for food. You'll smell funny later and people will talk.
Ya know? ;)

Nice to meet you.

Welcome to CC!

Also, yes, I still believe that a God or some other huge supernatural force exists. That's the thing that I believe Christianity has right. It's just that I don't know who exactly he/she/it is.

I went through a period of reconsideration of what I believed when I was 20 and for a few years. Slightly different motives than yours, but a similar time of reevaluation.
And I also, currently, am not sure where I stand in terms of what I believe, after nearly 30 years.
Reactions went be too bad, though there's always the scripture slingers. And I got told I lacked faith when I posted on questioning God. But most people were supportive.

No Scripture quotes, no condemnation, just a terribly sad heart , and a true wish that this was just click bait, but also a hope that the Lord will reach you. Welcome back.

Thank you. Don't be so sad, though. We'll see what happens next. :)

Anyway... I was agnostic for most of my adult life.

Would It be correct If I said that you don't believe because you can't SEE GOD but deep down you know that GOD IS.
The creation Itself declares It.

Hello WineRose,

Hopefully, you won't wait until it is too late. Not making a commitment in faith to Christ, is the same as rejecting Him.

Understand this, everyone who comes into the world is separated from God because of sin and are already condemned. The only way to get off that road is to receive Christ as Lord and Savior. There are no gray areas here. It is important to understand that unless there is a shedding of blood there is no forgiveness for sins. That said, Jesus who is God, appeared as a human being so that He could do what we could not do, which was to live a perfect, sinless life in the flesh. The word of God also says, "the reward for sin is death." Jesus had no sin, but paid the penalty for sin, which took care of the consequences of sin. However, He is only crediting that payment to those who have faith in Him as the One who provided salvation for them by the shedding of His blood.

Because Jesus is the only One who has lived a perfect life in the flesh and paid the penalty for sin, there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. Jesus himself said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father, but by Me." No other religious system can save you, because there is no righteous shed blood involved. Since we can't be reconciled to God through good works, then those other religious systems are worthless and dead and lead to separation from God in the lake of fire.

I truly hope that you don't sit on the fence too long, if at all. For you have no idea when the Lord is going to come to gather His church. And once He does, those unbelievers and the undecided will be trapped in the time period of God's wrath and will be exposed to the beast, his image and his mark, with the majority of those who keep the testimony of Jesus and the word of God being killed.

Hi Wine it’s not a bad thing to be unsure and to be honest about
being unsure.

It’s far worse for a person to say they are a Christian when they
are not. Even God said I would rather a person was hot or cold.

At least with unsure it gives God room to work.
Praying He will complete His work in you in such a way, that you will
know with certainty.

By the way at your age there will be lots of such moments about all
sorts of things. As we grow up we believe what others tell us and do what
others do. But later question and start to form own opinions and beliefs.
That’s all part of growing up.

Just be careful that you don’t do anything you might regret later during
your time of unsureness.

Hey and in case you wondered, God knew you would be unsure and need to
ask questions. God knows us better than we know ourselves. He certainly
knew me before I was born it’s part of my testimony.

See the second part of this (or it might be the third part lol).

Thank you. I knew that I would receive epic backlash for stating this in a Christian forum (Aaaaand I've already got some, lol), but I don't feel right with keeping it a secret from all of my friends here on this site.

And, like I stated earlier in this thread. I'm still certain that God exists. I have seen enough substantial proof to know this. But, in a way, I feel that despite everything Christianity says, God has always been a mystery. With all these different religions and endless possibilities, I just don't feel right saying that Christianity has absolutely EVERYTHING correct. If I see some amazing proof of the above statement being true, I'll definitely reconsider.

Oh, he's still active on this site?
Yes, he has a new name, but I forget what it is. He still has his pic as his avatar though. He's only made a few posts in the miscellaneous forum recently. Not posting as much as he used to (obviously lol).

G'Day Winerose not sure if we have crossed paths before, but anyway welcome back to CC and i hope you find some though provoking thoughts from the Christians here along with the moving of the Holy Spirit to draw you into a solid position in your beliefs..

Oh and posting scripture is all a part of talking about Christianity.. People should back up what they say with scripture if they believe.. Otherwise it is just people giving random thoughts that may or may not be Christian.. If a Seeker comes onto a Christian forum they want to know they are getting Christianity.. Not some human based philosophy masquerading as Christianity..

So don't get down on Christians posting Bible verses.. As long as they mix it up with their own words of explanation..

God is SUPPOSED to be a mystery. CHRISTIANITY may not have everything right, but GOD does. So does the BIBLE.
