Do you pray for your future spouse? As a Believer (especially one who's a single mom), I feel its very important to pray for the man who will not only be my help-mate in life, but who will also be the head of our home, and father to my son and our future children. I pray for everything from his walk with the Lord, to every attribute that makes him who he is. Philippians 4 verse 6 says "...in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Nothing is too big or too small to Him. Lift up your future spouse in prayer! And remember He loves you and wants not only what's best for you, but who's best for you. He will come through IF its meant for you.

Yes, I actually pray for my future husband that I haven’t met, the same way I would pray for myself or someone I know. You know that if they are having a tough time that things will get better for him...etc. It’s hard to explain. I am definitely looking for someone that is equally yoked (growing in their path) in my future husband. I learned from my last relationship that no matter what you do for a person...how much compassion, patience, resilience, and forgiveness you show them...if they are not believers they often don’t have the ability to change. Life is hard enough, so I should not have to teach a grown man right from wrong!

Yes, I feel it’s very important to pray for your future spouse as it’s someone you are going to share your life with. For their wellbeing, success, spiritual nourishment, character etc. I have a teen daughter and I have already began praying for her future husband.

I have and in lonely moments when I feel like I need one I may well again. But most of the time I don't really expect to marry and there are plenty of needs around that I know specifically that there's never a lack of people who need prayer who are in my life now.

I prayed that prayer when i was in a situation like you but more importantly..what if God doesnt want a spouse in our lives? We have to be open to accepting THAT answer from Him as well and pray for contentidness in the journey..knowing He gives us strength for today and provides all out needs...

Oh that’s the 2nd part of my prayer...”but, if God I am not meant to get married I totally accept it, and will be totally content!”
I just wish God would just tell me...no or yes. If I’m not, I could just join a convent or something.
