I don't really like girls who wear makeup. (mascara, eye shadow, foundation, gloss)

I’ve used make up about 5 times in my life. The firsts times, so many people at church complimented me. It was nice. But it messed with my head. Why? Because I never got compliments about my looks before. To me, I thought, “I’m the same person. Why are they complementing me now? Why not before? I don’t understand.” Then I thought, “guys don’t pay attention to me without make up. So what’s the point? The make up comes off, and I’m still the same person.”

As you can see, I overthought it all lol. Now, I’m just a lazy girl. My husband met me just as I am. He like me lol.

The general rule i go by,, that is founded on observation,, is that the less a woman adds to herself in the way of::

Make up.
Bling. (piercings)
body art (tattoos)
Hair dye. (weird un-natural colors)

The more stable and confident she is within herself..

If a woman has all these things on her then avoid her like the plague she will be a disaster area for you if you start a relationship with her..

Uhm...no..
Im a stable warrior for Christ.
I have 2 piercings, red (idk if mahagony is unnatural, if purples and stuff weren't so damaging to the hair i would run around waayand different.)
I wearknow eyeshadow nearly every day.
I dont do things to make me stablesad. I do them because I like em.
There was things I always wanted, now I have it and im happy with it.
My relationship is going great aswell. Looking at people I know with lots of tattoos and piercings, they are the kindest and strongest ppl I know. Even if they look like an incarnation of the devil lol

People have their preferences.

Anyone can be trouble regardless of how they look. A man could wear a 3 piece suit but be a thief on Wall Street. A woman could be covered head to toe with no make up and still be a loose woman.

We gotta look at character.

Whatever a woman does to her face is her business, just leave me out of it, and don't lie to me.

Tats are the "norm" in my new church..I almost got one when I was 40 but didn't..some ink is pretty creative and the stories that go along with them can be mind blowing!

I just love makeup. It’s like having an opportunity every day to be expressing your innermost lol jk (partly true, though lol) feelings.

On a serious note... I am bit suspicious of people displaying so much contempt for makeup. Why is makeup such a big deal to them?

I have nothing against people wearing makeup, but it is just not me. I might put on some makeup on my weddingday or other special occasions but my husband to be needs to know and appreciate the days without makeup as well. I know he does, and that's why I love him.

On a less sweet note, I find it quite immoral to pay 50 USD for a lipstick or 2000 USD for a handbag when people are starving outside the shop or I still have mortgage to pay and so forth.

1. This thread was resurrected apparently for the sole purpose of advertising a makeup review site. The advertising thread was deleted, but not before Ugly immortalized it in his quote.

2. While it is beneficial for some threads to be dug up, this thread apparently serves no valid purpose. Are you going to change my mind about this topic? Am I going to change yours?

3. I get suspicious of people who get really defensive about wearing makeup. What are they trying to hide? :p

4. Please note, #3 did not say I get suspicious of people who wear makeup. I just get suspicious of people who are really defensive about it.

i have an old friend who sent me some pictures of herself recently. i told her i like the ones without makeup better than the ones with, that they seemed more 'honest' to me.
she said she hated to think she was being 'dishonest' by wearing makeup
((immediately pointing out that post is not perfect in his speech - this is the sort of reason she's my friend :)))

but i don't know how else to say it.
