She, now 89, had a major stroke 9 years ago. They didn't expect her to last the night, if even the week, but here we are 9 years later. She had many good years, and we even bought a house in her Midwest hometown partially so she could spend some time with her sisters and brothers in her last years. But we're going on 2 years since she's been able to travel, and a year and a half since she been vegetative. The poor woman is for all purposes dead, except her heart won't stop beating.

People are here all the time seeking prayer for healings. Yet healings were never meant to be a health care plan. I'm here to pray for her spiritual healing, that she be released from the flesh and into the glory of God. And I pray for those in her family who are afraid to allow her to do this, that they might see her suffering and allow her freedom from this body.

It always makes me wonder, we believe in a living God who has incredible things in store for us, and we persevere in faith all our lives to accept it. Yet we will fight as long and hard as humanly possible to keep from taking hold of that we have worked all our lives to achieve (you osas addicts better just know what I mean and leave that alone). Please Lord, physical death is part of the plan. May You help us accept that, and may You help this suffering transmogrify into rejoicing before your Throne for Mariette!

I’m sorry to hear about your mother-in-law’s health condition, and I can certainly understand the feelings you expressed. I’m praying asking God to intervene, provide strength and help according to His perfect will. May He surround your entire family with His love and comfort at this time.

Lord Jesus, I lift up RickyZ's Mother in-law to You in prayer, that Your "Will" would be done in her life. Lord, only You know the number of days ordained for her life, as You may take her home in the very near future, or allow her to live for many days to come. May Your comfort & peace and love minister to her, and keep her close to Your heart Lord. Lord, I know even in her vegetative state, Your love is still able to minister deep within her spirit. I pray Lord, that You would prepare her heart & spirit, in her final days, and in Your timing Lord, may Your Will be done in her life. In Jesus name!

Lord, we know that complete healing comes through death for those who believe, for we know that death is the only way to be united with You in eternity. We pray for Your will, Lord, that this mother be healed, that this family trust You and Your ways, Lord. We pray that You comfort this family and that this soul be released from this mortal shell. In Jesus name, we pray for Your perfect will, Lord. Amen!
