you have your stories mixed up and Jesus elevated women.

Jesus asked the woman at the well where her husband was knowing full well she did not have one. the conversation was between Jesus and the woman and He did not condemn her...He offered her salvation...living water.

He didn't 'call her out' as you say.

He did not ask where her husband was because He knew she did not have one.

2. the woman caught in adultery was forgiven by Jesus and it seems He put the men who had brought her to him to shame

you miss the bigger picture here, which is not what appears to be your personal conviction that men 'need to get theirs'
Thing is 7..you got so caught up in my "non correctmess" of Bible stories you missed the WHOLE concept of my reply...sad...

Yes.. Know that..but it was still the womams choice in the crowd to go in front of the congregation..
Do you understand how manipulators manipulate people?

There's a lot of manipulation -- emotional and psychological -- going on in many such gatherings.

Many people are manipulated and coerced and do not realize it later if at all, what we feel is not always a good indicator of the facts.

There is indeed extreme manipulation and people are letting themselves be manipulated instead of heeding scripture warnings!!

While some may disagree with the delivery, I hope they are not in opposition to the gifts of the Spirit in operation. A word of knowledge is biblical.

There are more problems here than delivery. :(

Do you accept everyone that claims a word of knowledge actually has a word of knowledge?

I just find that any time someone is operating in a gift of the Spirit you have the Cessationists coming out in droves (even if it is legitimate).

I don't know about that pastor's ministry, I've only seen a small portion of the video (the subject of the OP). I wouldn't feel comfortable making such a judgement in such a small context, let alone risking attributing a work of God as satanic (as some do, even if legitimate).

Plenty of information on this Pastor and church available.

Well I think this video says lots, aside from the whole Cessationist debate where does discernment come in?

This should never happen. Even if he did receive some knowledge he should have met with her privately since this was a very private matter.

I just really wonder what the next phase of Churchianity is going to look like, can it get any worse.:(

Regarding the OP, do you believe he was operating through the Holy Spirit?

I don't really wish to make that call. Sure I could go by a feeling, but I think we should look at the fruit. In the end is God glorified? Did she receive healing? Did she repent? Did the congregation show compassion towards her? Did they lead her on the right path? Did this word of knowledge rekindle her passion for the Lord, and bring reconciliation?

The reason I am apprehensive about making such a call is that if it was of the Lord, at the Holy Spirit's direction, I would be in opposition to the Lord on a call He made. I am not saying we can't use discernment, but sometimes people's discernment isn't of the Spirit but their comfort zones. They witness the miraculous and oppose it because they don't understand it.

Maybe we would've ministered that word of knowledge in a different manner, but considering his position and the nature of the meeting, people understand that certain things about them will be "exposed" because they are receiving a word. No one has to come up, but if someone is up at the front giving words of knowledge and you don't want to be exposed, then first, you need to deal with some private issues you've got going on in your life, and secondly, you shouldn't be at that meeting (knowing the nature of the meeting).
Or, don't respond when they call you out, lol.

In answer to your question, look at the fruit.

while that is so and thank you for making the distinction between 'prophecy' and 'wok', this dude gives gifts a bad name

I had the impression people were making that distinction..except maybe one or two
