Another point to be made about the Father's schoolhouse is; Paul said in 1 Corinthians 4:15

15 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

Can you see what has happened in the father's schoolhouse. The instructors were in Christ, this has happened since being born again. They instructed us as to what we ought to do.
Have you not had many people in your life tell you what you ought to do. When being instructed, those that do the instructing have power over you. I'm sure it is necessary when the believer is at a child level. Growing up we had our instructors-teachers, parents, school teachers, law enforcement, even church's.
In the world at a young age we were taught don't touch that it's hot, or if you break this law you suffer the consequences of breaking that law. But the fact of the matter is it is all law, being instructed to do or not do was necessary for child growth.

That fits what the bible shows as stages of life, 1John 2:13-14

13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.

14 I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.

But Paul's main point is we have not had many father's, Paul said he was a father, he had begotten them through the gospel.
A father will birth children after his own kind. He would go on to say; follow me now that I have begotten you through the gospel, as he followed Christ Jesus.
Paul's gospel came directly from Jesus Christ.
If you want to know Christ, who is your only life, you will have to follow Paul. How do I follow Paul; you follow him in his epistles, you follow him as he instructed, Ephesians 3:4, 9

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

Without Paul, we would not know anything about the life of Christ being the only life of the believer. If you do not follow Paul, an individual will believe they still have a life of their own.
There was no "in Christ" message until Paul.
We knew nothing about a sin-nature, or that God the Father was literally going to birth His Own children.

There is one life and that life is in the Son, 1 John:5:11-12

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Galatians 2:20 says the only life you have is Christ,

20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

This verse needs to be read very slowly and studied, we have no life of our own. The believer that still lives a self for self life jas not come to interpret Paul as the one they need to follow and remain under the instructors of the schoolhouse. Galatians 4:1-2

1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
