In my family I have 5 sisters: 3 doctors, one with a doctorate, (so you could say 4 doctors) one med flight nurse and one that writes text books. All speak so eloquently. Then there is me with my 5 majors that I never completed and speak like …. well you fill in the metaphor. Basically I "call as spade a spade", in our face type person (not looking to change). And I spell like I am still in pre-school....

Now out of my 5 sisters and me can you figure out who is saved, of the bunch? Some of us are, some of us are not....

I remember when the election was between Obama and McCain in 2008 and I was speaking to my best friend and she said Obama was so eloquent and McCain gets so red in the face.... he is mad all the time....

I told her if she bases ho she votes on who speaks the best he best instead of their track record for what they have done for liberty and votes for someone who flat out is against G-d (abortion, same-sex marriage, Israel) then she is an idiot…. She got mad at me but so what….

Maybe Trump can be a little to "loose" in the mouth.... I am too... maybe that is why I care more about what he has done than what he says.... Like put two concretive on the Bench, moved the American Embassy to Jerusalem, USMCA (Trumps new NAFTA) ((that's not Christian but making America great again)).

No, we should not be offensive….

But which is more important what we say or what we do?

Understand your thoughts about Trump, but, please remember, he did not put anyone on SCOTUS. He nominated them, and that's good! But without the Republican Congress and old Mitch.......neither of them would be a Sitting Jurist today. He has helped to create an atmosphere where Businesses can invest and expand, and create jobs, but the Congress is the ones who actually get the job done.

As for the question in the Title of the OP:

Both are equally important for a Christian.

We all know the Scriptures about the unruly tongue...google "scriptures about the tongue" and read some of them. They are very informative in my opinion.

We all know the Scriptures about how we are to strive to live Christ like. Our actions are recorded in The Book of Life (as are our words) and we will have to account for them. Good works/actions rewarded with good and bad works/actions with bad......Scripture is very clear about that!

Not to throw a monkey wrench into the OP question but there are many times when what we say is what we do...…….Look when Jesus spoke,

However we are to do and not just give lip service.

if we walk in The Light as He, then our words will be our Holy testimony...

I believe that I understand the gist of your question. I fear that some people may get side-tracked and fixated upon the examples that you have chosen (political) vs the context and substance for which I think you seek.

REGARDING WORK PLACE:
There is a senior level bureaucratic bully in our work place whom many suspect as either narcissistic or psychopathic. He has created a hostile work environment (via his actions and in-actions) causing many top level employees to leave. He has also very masterfully (mastermind orator) and cleverly been able to refuse (via a silver tongue) to comply with senior level guidance and direction requesting change. Rather, he has been able to manipulate everyone (with his big words) - such that he could protect his little empire.

An outside observer stated very clearly: "HIS WORDS DO NOT MATCH HIS ACTIONS."

REGARDING RELATIONSHIPS:
Some of the best and most frequently recommended advice to salvage a broken marriage is to demonstrate one's love and commitment via your concrete actions - not your mere words.

AS A LEADER OR ROLE MODEL:
The best role models and leaders are admired and recognized for their actions based upon what they have done or the way they conduct themselves... Not necessarily based upon what they say, or what they say they intend to do...
Talks is cheap - those who say one thing and do another, or never get around to doing what they say - become less reliable, less dependable...
However, those whose WORD is as GOOD as GOLD - are the ones who are deemed reliable, dependable, trustworthy - role model worthy...

Hmmmm......what's more important - what I say or what I do?

After much thought, I've come to the conclusion that the answer is NEITHER!:)

The MOST important is what I THINK about - my thoughts because they are the reason why I say what I say and do what I do.

when we are in bondage to the 'world', our thoughts and actions are what we respond to and do =
when we have been 'delivered' and 'called-out' of the world, then our thoughts and actions are aligned
with our Holy Saviours and we are never again to be in bondage to our 'old thoughts and actions'...

Yes the spirits of just men was made perfect and Everyman that has been born again will seek to purify themselves even as they are pure.

You are right. I will throw out the "F" on accident and say and repent....

When I first got saved I believed G-d knew my heart so when I prayed I cussed because it was in my heart. One day driving down the street, while praying and cussing, G-d said, plain as day to me, do you cuss in front of your earthly father.... I answered, well no... And then I heard (not audible but you know what I mean when G-d talks to you) I am your HEAVENLY FATHER!!! And I said oh… I'm SORRY. I got it!!!! I was not respecting G-d... in fact gave more to my dad here than Him. Now since that day 28 years later I have not cussed while praying.....

But that does not mean calling a spade a spade or not being "politically correct" is sin!!! My sister will say I am a few synapse short of proper neuron distribution…. I will look at her and tell her she is stupid. We both said the same thing....

Well if I were to ask Jesus this question face to face I imagine his response would be along the lines of worry not which is more important rather let your words and actions be one in God's love. A harsh tongue doesn't win souls nor does it express his heart, I am not innocent in this of course but a serpents tongue is one that name calls and speaks in vulgar words but with a tongue of purity and love I have personally seen his words have power. Our words come from what is in our heart and likewise so do our actions, and both are vital and just as important as another.

Politics is fine if one is into that but for me personally I have only seen it be a poison to people turning even the closest and most loving believers into enemies, but again this is just my view I am actually pretty ignorant to world events and politics mainly because I purposely ignore it and look to heavenly things instead. But if name calling comes into play especially when it comes to politics then perhaps our focus should be elsewhere.

I love your commit, but how can you look to the heavens while ignoring your leaders or who want to be your leaders who openly want to murder children (abortion) or want children boys/girls elementary age to share bathrooms with other children who cannot decided what gender they are? How do you take a stand for G-d? Let the law pass then hope you can change peoples mind? Look at what has happened in America because prayer was taken out of school? Compare the laws... A lot falls on politics... The great change in America!!!! And the LCACK OF CHRISTIANS CARRING!!!

Everyone is called for something and God has different people focused on different things, as of right now my only focus is to be on him and on heavenly things politics is not my concern right now. Many Christians are focused on politics there is no lacking in that but there is in fact a great lacking in Christians drawing closer to god and deepening their love and intimacy with him.

The world and it's leaders and troubles are a constant distraction for many people and I think sometimes we Christians allow ourselves to become to involved in it and not enough involved in God himself. I of course am not saying that politics is to be ignored however look at the state of the church itself, we who are called to be love who are called to be a representation of his heart are for a good majority anything but. We are not known for love or understanding Christians are branded by many in the world as hypocritical judgmental bible thumpers and for good reason.

So for me at least regardless if is right or wrong in others eyes I keep my hearts eyes set on him and have no interest in the constant arguing and poisonous troubles that politics brings, my only concern is to seek after his heart and to obtain a very deep and intimate love and bond with him.
