Do Not Use Freedom To Indulge In The Flesh,
Paul is attempting to encourage the new followers that
just because God forgives sin and we are reconciled
with Him, that we can sin all we want and still live in the
flesh. That is not the way of course and while it is true
of course that God does forgive sin, we are to use that
as inspiration. We are to use it as growth in Christ so
we can continue to get stronger and stronger in our faith.
In fact we should be vigilant in stopping often to see if
have actually followed Jesus or neglected Him. We seek
our souls to be sure we are following His message as
well as we should be and correct ourselves if not. Also
it is important to know that once we have been forgiven,
we are not asking for forgiveness on that sin again. Each
time we repent and are forgiven, to God that sin is not on
soul any longer. That is where trust comes in, we need to
trust that He did actually forgive us.
