Would you allow wolves to have free access to your chicken coops?
HENCE: "The GUNS!" Preacher! I enjoy someone coming through the doors, and challenging that which I believe! It is my pleasure in engaging them! And, in so doing? Hoping that by my arguments, whether for or against the poster's comment, people might learn a thing or 3, concerning my God, my Lord, and my Savior, which is, and is in Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Yeah Preacher? Even your "baby lambs!" Heck! I may even learn something! :) NEVER too old to learn! Right? :)

Define "Christian" please, since you assert that so many churches aren't.
The OP is gone but that is exactly the problem.

I guess the "?" prefers the JW system where people are shunned if they should leave.

A church that historically has divided families causing much grief and shunned individual thought and liberty, replacing it with JW group think.

Agreed only if you prefer Original Coke over . Otherwise, to the curb you walk.
I have just finished a 12 pack of throw-back Mountain Dew made with real sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. Thinking of trying throw-back Pepsi next otherwise I prefer Original Coke instead of Pepsi. Actually, original Coke once had cocaine in it so hence its name, not that I am recommending imbibing such a product. I don't believe that it was carbonated either but was sold as a syrup. It did lesson the pain though.

This subject has been posted also by yours truly.

I asked the question, "Were Jesus to come today, which denomination would He elect to be a member of?" What was His denomination. Judaism did not exist until His time and after,.

The faith Jesus taught is the faith of Abraham............Abraham may be traqnslated as "Hoored Father of the Peoples (Nations)," if that should help.

I belong to Jesus Christ, Yeshua.........not to any of the denominations untr the umbrell of Judaism or Christianity. I form a member of the Body of Jesus, where ever they may be. One day it will be clear to all.
OK. That's your view. The thread poses a valid question that is different than that thread you said you posted.
Jesus was a Jew. Those in the faith were not called Christians until Antioch where the first Gentile church was founded. Acts 11:20-21
And well after the Christ returned to the Father.
Why not respect the thread and let it proceed with or without you and certainly prayerfully without conflict.

I think that's part of why soda fountains got to be staples in early drug stores remember morphine as legal too. Pharmacists could mix up a glass of home made concoctions with unregulated drugs. Laudanum was the Vicks 44 of it's day. And Psychiatrists prescribed cocaine for sinuses and depression. People can't use that stuff long term That's why they're Schedule 2 drugs. Doctors can still prescribe it, Methadone also, were long term pain in a terminal patient is of bigger concern that long term side effects of the narcotic in a dying patient.

A lot of doctors are now hesitant to prescribe effective pain relief medication due to the hassle from the US government. I believe all drugs should be legal, and be able to be purchased OTC at a reasonable cost, especially pain medication, without such, the lives of some people would be intolerable due to chronic pain.

Yeah, I am starting to trend towards "Original Coke", not for my own pain but for those who really need it so to have any type of quality of life.

Given the choice between quality of life and quantity of life I would chose quality every time. It's a shame that there are those that can't have both due to excessive government regulations and meddling. You better believe that those in power and write the laws of this country have effective pain relief that is provided at no cost to themselves but is paid for by the hardworking tax payer who is denied such privilege.

Now that I remember, it did leave a warm fuzzy feeling inside but that was probably due to the flame retardant toxins. :)
Well, the up side is no burn-yer-tookus poofs or heartburn. Its all been covered by loads of Mountain Dew. :giggle:

I'm down to the nico I gave up the cafo almost a yr ago.
Yeah, I really need to quit smoking, form an action plan, and start making serious progress to quitting altogether. I am buying a product that I can't really afford that adversely affects my health and will eventually kill me before my time. I should probably switch to decaf.

Did you now it is said a drop of raw nicotine on the tongue will kill a person instantly? Why then is it wise to inhale it into the mouth, down the throat and into the lungs? Smoking kills the body in a slow debilitating process. And thanks to whistle blowers in that industry we know that cigarette manufacturers have designed the intake of their poison so as to make it addictive. All for their bottom $ line.
Every smoker is buying cancer one pack at a time. One carton at a time. Without exception.

Get off the stuff and live. Your body as a Christian is suppose to be a temple housing the holy spirit of God. Why would you turn it into a toxic chimney full of poisons? What atmosphere is that for the holy spirit to live in and then guide you into holiness?

There are natural remedies that work. I have a friend who 25 years ago used a homeopathic stop smoking remedy. He hasn't smoked since. And he was at least a pack a day smoker. Chain smoker at that.

The gums, patches, etc.... that are out there? Are manufactured by subsidiaries of the tobacco industry. You're still getting that nicotine fix. How do you get off nicotine by using nicotine?

Get healthy! Who wants to kiss someone who's breath and mouth smell and taste like the bottom of an ashtray looks?

And if you go the stop smoking route make sure when you get the cravings to eat that you eat healthy. Your body is use to the hand to mouth reflex action of smoking a cigarette. While withdraw from nicotine makes for the appetite to ramp up people will often eat what's handy. Like junk foods. That's why some who stop smoking end up over weight.
Make healthy snacks for yourself and have those handy. Get healthy all the way around and show the enemy who's boss.

Me too it's darn hard as a rock yeah I'm stubborn sometimes lol... Ive been vaping seems to help take the edge off. I've quit twice before for years so I know I can but my sub mind is fighting me hehe...

All my life I have started work at 7am and got in the habit of drinking coffee to wake me up, but now I don't start work until 2:30pm for the last yr or so and I now get up in the morning when ever I want so surely that made it quite easy for me to give up the coffee haha...
