He Refreshes My Soul,

A beautiful Psalm as God says and does all He can
to reassure us of His love and His watch over us. He
wants us to know that He will guide us and protect us.
And in the end He invites us to dwell in His house all
our days. Can we sit and imagine how much love He
has for us and how much care He pours out on to us.
There is no end to His love and His mercy. If we can
only just believe that in our hearts; if we can only say
yes Lord, I will follow you. The entire Psalm is a nice
story but Gods asks more of us than to simply read
a nice story. By implication He tries to ensure that we
feel His comfort and know He will always protect us.
So what is our part in this. It is our part to say: yes
Lord, I will follow you wherever you lead me. There is
no trick, no imaginings, just His pure promise to us so
all we need to feel within our heart is Lord, your will and
not mine be done.
